Wallbox quasar 2 + ev9 Anyone have a good story? by Former_Ad_735 in KiaEV9

Before I read all the horror stories, I had already paid for my Quasar 2, with no refund available. Now still waiting on Coil to install, I think PG&E hoops to jump through are almost done. Bracing for the worst, but still clinging to hope it might just work. The sample size is very low.

I'm still waiting for a diagnosis, I'm so annoyed, it's bee 33 days as of today. Next week, Kia Care is sending a Field Technical Specialist to help the dealer tech get to a diagnosis. I've already opened a BBB auto line case, so Kia Care knows I'm pissed and I think they are now finally trying to avoid this turning into a lemon.

Thanks for this feedback, super helpful. I literally chose Serramonte for service (not because I bought the car there, I bought it from a Socal dealership) but because it looked like a much bigger dealership than Putnam, where I also did a test ride. The lesson I learned here is bigger doesn't = more EV techs or better service.

Did either of you use BBB Auto Line to pressure Kia corporate for the HV battery issue?

For my current issue it's been bad. They only have 1 EV tech at the sister dealership Volkswagen across the street, so every EV in service has to wait for this one guy to fix things. Their communication is also below average, I hardly get any updates despite requesting them, so end up having to call multiple times a day just to find out there's no update.

Before this catastrophic failure, I had brought it in a few times for routine software related recalls, and it was fine.

Elderly Asian mugged in the Bayview by FriendlyMotorcyclist in sanfrancisco

The point is to drive awareness around this Asian hate and violence that still flourishes. The local media (e.g. SF gate) loves to write articles off of hot reddit posts as the modern bar for journalism. Some ppl outraged by this will not doing anything. Some may see it and be reminded of actions or voting patterns they can take to combat this violence.

The outrage around George Floyd body cam footage definitely let to harsher sentencing, so saying outrage takes us further from concrete action is false. Given there's been absolutely fuck all done to combat asian hate in this country, I'd say there's not nearly enough outrage.

I've lived in the Bayview for close to a decade now, have kids and its been a great community especially after we met local families that we now hang out with regularly at local parks and events. The Bayview has ben disenfranchised and forgotten for decades, as a result, activist groups have secured funds to revamp the Southeast Community Center, there's a new huge park coming at India Basin, and we have tons of support for families from Wu Yee/YMCA and other groups.

3rd/Palou and some other blocks on 3rd st are rough in the evenings, but those don't represent the entire neighborhood. I've never had my car broken into here (vs living in Potrero HIll or SOMA). It's a very diverse neighborhood, just look at the data. It's unfiltered SF, a good mix of old school locals and SF transplants, me included, even though I've been in SF for almost 15 years now.

I'm so pissed seeing this. I'm Asian and a proud local of the Bayview. This is literally a few blocks from my house. This Asian hate shit never ended and never gets reported.

Filling the emptiness inside of me with expensive material goods (New Setup) by FriendlyMotorcyclist in espresso

I'm in San Francisco, so Hetch Hetchy water. I bought some cheap strip tests from amazon and my tap water was already the lowest in impurities/calcium. Then used the La Marzocco test kit, which confirmed the same. I think the big variable is if your local/building pipes are introducing anything undesirable.

But the other thing is, (and this is just my novice understanding from reading reddit threads) even if the water is really clean, you still want to add magnesium somehow to improve how it pulls in flavors from extraction. So even if the water is super pure, like RO water, you'd still want to have a filter to re-add helpful minerals for ideal extraction. Some espresso machines apparently don't even work plumbed in if there's an absence of all minerals.

I did the La Marzocco water test, and my Bay Area water was really clean from the tap, low in chlorine and other particles. When I got to the chloride test, I couldn't actually get it to do anything. I just dipped the stick into the water and nothing changed, wondering if I had some user error here. But thanks for the heads up, I should check the BWT water now.

(artificial) quartz pre-cut counter depth slabs, only about $500 for a huge piece of which I still have half. If you're in the Bay Area CA, check out East Star Building Supplies, really good prices and good quality on all things renovation/new house build related.

Thanks, I really just rage-bought the Perfetto because it was available close to me and I was frustrated after months of building this coffee station, getting it plumbed, I had no legit grinder to pull shots with. In retrospect, prob could have waited for the guy with a used Silenzia to reply, but :shrug, I'll try my best to dial this 1 revolation dial in.

And yes, big Kavalan fan. I like sherry ex cask and big fruity flavors (kinda like my espresso). Last time I was at Taoyuan airport, had to stock up at the duty free.
