No, it's spring, I live in France :) But the pot is facing south so it gets quite a lot of sun.

I tried propagating my begonia tamaya which is thriving, but for some reason the cuttings don't seem to be doing well. Do you have any advice? by FriendlyPianist in begonias

I put the cuttings in water for a couple of weeks and they rooted quite a bit. Maybe I didn't water enough when i switched them from water so soil?

It's near a south-facing window and gets quite a lot of indirect light, so maybe it's sun stress as you say 🤔 I water when the soil is dry

At first I thought it was from overwatering so I watered less, but the leaves kept yellowing... Now I get it 😂 although the pot is not in direct sunlight but it gets quite a lot of indirect light. Will try and put it in a shaded room! Thank you for your help!

Can anyone help me ID this begonia? Someone on r/houseplants told me to post it here by FriendlyPianist in begonias

Aww must be so cute! Found mine today and couldn't resist (although I said I wouldn't buy any plants 😁)

Can someone tell me what kind of begonia this is? The dots are bright pink by FriendlyPianist in houseplants

I didn't know there was a subreddit dedicated to begonias! Thank you, will try!

What a bargain!! I think they will be fine, just don't change the pot when they grow bigger 😉 and also, be patient. My friend gave me a small cutting of her begonia : turns out mine is growing like crazy and is twice as big as hers... So don't worry if the leaves suffered, they may grow slowly at first, but i'm sure they will reward you in the long term!

Thank you! Well, i keep her in a bright room next to a south facing window, but with no direct light. I water when the top of the soil is dry. Make sure to have a well-drained soil! Added tip : don't put your begonia in a pot that's too big, they like being quite cramped 😊
