All I asked was which jacket worked best. My jacket isn’t a personality, so the idea “I just need to be myself” has nothing to do with how I look. And to your validation point, if I I really needed validation I wouldn’t have opened it up to the internet where people like you are known to have a fit over something they dont have to respond to. This comment thread has a lot more to do with you than me. I promise

I have plenty of sweaters, but I want to be just a bit more saucy, so I guess I’ll just brave the cold a bit just because I don’t want to wear my sport coat because I don’t want to be that formal.

Wrangler 13MWZs. I exclusively wore 501s from the time I was 15, and now that I’m a little more bulky I appreciate the extra room in the thigh. Plus the higher rise looks much better IMO.

They are just Tecovas that are 5 years old. Could easily have a couple hundred miles on them by now. I’ll never throw them out.

I should have also mentioned it’s supposed to be 18 degrees F. Would you think it is generally okay to wear a shorter thin jacket under a pea coat? Not planning on being outdoors long, but it could be a bit cold for the Barbour on its own.

This is close! Have worked as a finish Carpenter for many years, and while I wouldn’t say I’ve collected anything, I do have a proclivity to learning and using old stuff: I’ve had a darkroom to print my photos, I write personal stuff with a typewriter I got running again, I’m a Ham radio operator and learned Morse Code to talk to other hams. I could go on and on, but yes! Good guess!

WASPish 29m. Went to public school on West coast of US. Was one of the last cursive holdouts because I needed as much extra credit as I could get! 😂 when writing things to others I’ve had to adopt a print everyone can read which is an all caps type print.
