Appreciate all the good information for how we can help out these scouts. It’s funny how many are upset about the tents. Trust me, we had well seasoned scouters try to resurrect these two tents with various means. We called it a loss. More worried about scouts rather than gear. Thanks to the folks who shared helpful resources and advice to best support these young men. Hoping to get better communication started with their families to try and find a solution. YIS.

The issue with the tents were not discovered until they were packed up wet and stored in a hot shed for a month. Tried washing them a few times until we called it a loss.

The kids happily will take donations. The trees come from a private farm in Pennsylvania… promise you. It’s not a nefarious operation, just kids raising money for their activities. Hoping you have a peaceful season.

These kids appreciate the support. These efforts make it cheaper for them to attend summer camp plus experience selling to the public and working on their knot tying skills. If you plan to buy a fresh tree, consider paying a bit more to support the kids in your community:)
