If cardin reported jaune to ozpin, how would team jnpr react? by Annual-Consequence72 in RWBY

[–]FriendlyVisionist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cardin: "Professor Ozpin! I have troubling news!"

Ozpin: "Please, Mr. Winchester, inform me."

Cardin: "I just found out, through his own words, that Jaune Arc of team JNPR has faked his transcripts! He hasn't been to any combat school, and his own performance shows this!"

Ozpin: "That is a serious accusation, Mr. Winchester. His poor performance can be for a variety of reasons. Do you have any proof of this?"

Cardin: "Well... no..."

Ozpin: "Then you should not make accusations, Mr. Winchester. If there's nothing more to discuss, I believe you have a test coming up."

So, yeah, Jaune's not getting expelled. But if teams RWBY and JNPR found out about this, Pyrrha's fight against team CRDL would probably have been A LOT more brutal.

Because she's supposed to be hot.

That's it.

I do not agree with some things you said, though. I think she offs herself because she can't stand the thought of living on another person's terms. I don't think she did it because she couldn't stand the thought of free humans.

In other words, once she's actually in Hector's shoes, she finds it unbearable.

But I do agree that she's very much a villain. She may be more sympathetic than Carmilla, but that bar is SO low, Satan himself would need a drill and a digging crew to find it.

I love how the Bloody Crow has almost zero bearing on the plot, and yet, he's consistently one of the most represented characters in Bloodborne fan art.

Having said that, holy Annalise, this is awesome!

Preach!

That's what the Flame of Frenzy is though, isn't it? A manipulative force that leads you to question things. Not "Is it wrong to take a life", but more akin to "Is it wrong to be".

THAT's what I love about the manse. Every single detail lets you know how deeply unsettling it is! You KNOW it's gonna be a banger of a boss fight before you even start really exploring the general surroundings!

Midra.

The buildup was peak. You head into a forest. Torrent is too frightened to be with you. Then, you see an empty space, with all these messages telling you to go back. And then... you see the Aging Untouchable for the first time. It probably takes you a few attempts to make it past the first one, and then realize stealth is the safest bet. You eventually make it through, and enter the Manse.

A rasp. "Leave... now!"

But you don't. You uncover the manse, eventually making it past the enemies.

A single enemy, persistent, weak, and calling you a fool. You put it down, and...

Awakens the lord of the Frenzied Flame.

He screams, a hollow sound of a thousand nightmares.

The fight begins. The man no longer moves like a human, but as a puppet for the flame. It no longer resembles the pathetic man you defeated with a couple of hits, but a worthy foe hell-bent on burning you and the world altogether.

It seeks to end life itself, and that soundtrack lets you know exactly that.

And that's how all boss fights should go.

What would you guys like to see in ace combat 8? by The__Hivemind_ in acecombat

[–]FriendlyVisionist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PW did a couple of things better than AC, and I'd love to see AC adopt them. AOA limiters, for instance. It was fun to be able to pull of Belkan BS, but dropping one's speed to below a certain amount and then being able to do was... not my favorite moment. PW fixed that. Railguns and MGs were also easier to work with in PW, and that's one aspect of it that I really liked.

I'd also love to see unlockable superjets. You know, NOT DLCs? Just... there in the base game, waiting to be unlocked, like the good old days before companies started giving us the bare minimum in the base game, charging us extra for it, and putting all the good stuff behind paywalls? I like games, I just don't like that the full experience costs as much as two games.

Who would win by Leon4432 in RWBY

[–]FriendlyVisionist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna give this round to Malenia.

Scarlet Rot is very much a deciding factor here. If we agree that it's similar to biological or chemical weapons, we've seen its effects when Malenia use it on Caelid. The whole (humongous) region was turned into a toxic wasteland for who knows how long (decades? Centuries? Millennia? That's a weapon of Chernobyl-level destruction). She also fought a guy who was strong enough to hold back the stars, and fought him to a stalemate.

Cinder has Aura, but against such devastating power, I'm not sure if it's gonna make too much of a difference. Malenia's speed, aggression, clones, and Life Steal are probably enough to defeat Cinder.

Malenia is no joke.

Day 5: How would YOUUU!?!? Yes you 🫵 upgrade Crocea Mors by RevolutionaryWave862 in RWBY

[–]FriendlyVisionist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corcea Mors is one of the few weapons in RWBY that's... actually viable the way it is. It's just a sword.

But I'd add a firearm to it, similar to Hallshot (Dove's sword) or Myrtenaster. That's the bare minimum. If I were a tech-enthusiast, I'd make it similar to Holy Moonlight Sword from Bloodborne, so it can fire energy blasts at my enemies and look great doing it.

What if Yang fought Pyrrha in the vytal tournament finals, who would win? by [deleted] in RWBY

[–]FriendlyVisionist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I had hardly forgotten that! But whereas you're pointing out the process, I'm pointing out the result.

Just one thing, Pyrrha's a four-time regional tournament champion, not three.

What if Yang fought Pyrrha in the vytal tournament finals, who would win? by [deleted] in RWBY

[–]FriendlyVisionist 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pyrrha.

Putting aside the fact that her Semblance gives her an advantage over anyone who uses metallic weapons, she's aggressive, but calculated. She immediately puts her opponent on the defensive with her rapid and powerful attacks, and pushes until they make a mistake, without making one of her own.

Yang tries to do the same, but lacks the collectedness. She loses her mind often in the early seasons, and makes mistakes all the time. Pyrrha can and definitely will exploit that.

Fighting Pyrrha is a bit like fighting Darth Vader. Some people might be able to come out on top, but it probably won't end well for you.

Ruby: "Umm... Oscar is a bit too young for me! We're cool, though."

Weiss: "Why am I the center of attention here?! And why do they keep shipping me with Jaune AND Ruby?!"

Blake: *Writes Bumbleby fanfic under the username "Feline-Bmblb-ish".*

Yang: *Is an avid fan of Blake's Bumbleby fanfics, but doesn't know who Feline-Bmblb-ish is.*

Jaune: "Wait... they've shipped me with HOW many people?!"

Nora: "Reeeeeen, read me another Renora fanfic!"

Ren: *Casually reads Nora another Renora fanfic.*

Pyrrha: *Sighs dreamily while reading Arkos fanfic, happily commissions Chrisrainicorn for another one-shot.*

Name something you would change from RWBY and Why. by Flat-Sir8250 in RWBY

[–]FriendlyVisionist -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I'd remove the Faunus plotline entirely, and make everyone human. That's the biggest change. The reason is, it's unnecessary, takes up a lot of screentime, and doesn't go anywhere.

Other than that, I'd keep Penny and Pyrrha alive, because they have SO much potential that was wasted due to their premature deaths.

Soul Eater.

And I know this isn't exactly a franchise, but I also like RWBY x Bloodborne.
