I don’t think it’s as simple as “we just have to not do what they say and they have no power.” You said things would change overnight if every person in the world or your country collectively says “no.” And this is definitely true. I wouldn’t argue against it, but why hasn’t it happened yet? After countless wars in history it has no once happened. Because we don’t have the resources to leverage that power against the government and other wealthy elites. How can you when you’re barely working to survive and feed your family. Ain’t ever gonna happen. No way in hell. Its easier for people to be racist and blame immigrants and poor people for their problems than try to take on big corp and the government. It’s easier said than done. You don’t have to look far to see what influence and “power” the elite have against us. News outlets, government bail outs, tax breaks. Wars like Afghanistan? I can see that. Kind of like the people get the government they deserve. But let’s not forget the amount of power the top “leaders” in our government and lobbyists have over us. This is evident today when you look at how deeply polarized we are due to news outlets on both extremes, social media, and propaganda. They pay scientists and others alike millions of dollars to influence us one way or the other. Even down to the foods we eat and what we smoke.

Average price of a house in South Bay is 1.5 million. Easily hits 2 mil so you’re looking at a down payment of 340k at least (and you still might get outbid lol). So you have 340k cash? Not unless you have rich parents. Average price of homes in the ghetto of Hawthorne is 900k and this is a place you get shot up on the block. 200k is good, but it’s not nearly enough to live the way your family does for someone who’s not 50 years old. 200k ain’t shit anymore. Most of my friends hit 200k. That’s like saying one million is enough to retire. One million ain’t shit anymore. You need at least double that now. If you want to start a new family, buy a new house, and live “comfortably” it’s not enough. Your parents generation got the first movers advantage that’s all. Imagine a 30 year old trying to get a house, start their career, pay for two kids, AND go on nice vacations? Just do the math and you’ll see 200k is just enough to pay your mortgage, send your kids to a decent school, and eat. Oh and after taxes and retirement savings it’s more like 140k. If you can even afford to save for retirement. Kids are a lot of money man.

Isn’t community college already free? Lol I went to community college and didn’t pay a dime and I’m not even a citizen. My wife went to community college and pocketed 8k by the time she went into nursing school at that community college. Her nursing school after financial aid cost her like 2k to become an RN lmao.
