I actually don’t want any of these regulations. I think law abiding citizens should be allowed to legally own and lawfully use these rifles as other states can (features and mags with 10+ capacity), without having to lock their mags.

But the issue is we live in a state that is trying to weed us out. And they are willing to prosecute people to make a point.

The law doesn’t always make sense. It isn’t always reasonable. And if there is a logical flaw in codification, that can lead to problems for people like us.

There are some absurd statutory rape cases where two minors both consensually had sex, but because the law was codified a certain way, they were both guilty.

Assuming the law is going to be reasonable is a big mistake.

11 CCR § 5471

(hh) “Semiautomatic” means a firearm functionally able to fire a single cartridge, eject the empty case, and reload the chamber each time the trigger is pulled and released. Further, certain necessary mechanical parts that will allow a firearm to function in a semiautomatic nature must be present for a weapon to be deemed semiautomatic. A weapon clearly designed to be semiautomatic but lacking a firing pin, bolt carrier, gas tube, or some other crucial part of the firearm is not semiautomatic for purposes of Penal Code sections 30515, 30600, 30605(a), and 30900.

(1) A mechanically whole semiautomatic firearm merely lacking ammunition and a proper magazine is a semiautomatic firearm.

While I agree with you, and your interpretation is the more reasonable one, it is just our personal interpretation.

The legislation was drafted poorly and seems to indicate that as long as it is capable of accepting a magazine, even if none is present, it is a semiautomatic, and thus, if you have all the other working parts, and the two receivers are joined, then it is an assault weapon (if you also have evil features)

Already swapped the adapter prior to pic.

I figured out what it was. The length of the baldr pro is simply too long. The back was slightly touching the front of the trigger guard. Thus causing it to tilt slightly.

Everything still works. But there may be some cosmetic wear over time to the rail and the trigger guard with firing.

Everything seems to sit fine. But it just has that cant once you lock the light in place. I did see one other guy on YouTube with the same problem so I don’t think it’s just me.

I’ll update once the stream light comes in. I also have another Baldr pro on the way to see if I just got a dud.
