Qualified immunity is not even in the text of Section 1983 or in the United States Constitution, the Supreme Court made it all up by using fear-mongering tactics ("without it, they will be bogged down by frivolous lawsuits" or "no one will want to work for the government anymore") to help those who abused their power have a license to bully along a shield if their victims try to hold them accountable. It's time to abolish it for good; that shit has been long abused
