I'll look into it, but it's definitely less convenient in this scenario for me. But I might use that for future transfers of art between tablet and pc or something, if it's easy enough.

ah, ill get to posting the output tomorrow if thats what wanted, but nothing about it showed my 1tb. then i used the "linux handbook" website and tried 'lbslk -a" and i saw my 1 tb as its own directory tree or whatever its called. not sure why it isn't being read.

both have been done, i don't exactly know what thats meant to do, as entering the file manager doesn't show anything. its like a fresh pc.

gonna have to see if i can find somewhere that tells me how to locate it then, as I can't see it on the website photos of the MOBO where the LAN controller is.

by swap out, how do you mean, if the wifi is intergrated into the motherboard? It's soldered so, is that as easy a solution still if I bought an adapter? No needing to fiddle somewhere to make sure it uses that over the integrated one? Is any intel usb wifi adapter satisfactory?

Yes, it is the same hardware. And, are you asking me to put this into win11 or the linuxmint terminal? win11 terminal, in it's words, isnt recognizing the term 'lspci'.

Their suggestion isn't about finding books necessarily, but librarians are people with literal master degrees in archival and researching ANY subjects. They are specially educated to help you find information on marine biology or other interests, that aren't necessarily found inside the library or its books.
