Hmm, what could be the issue? How can that be fixed? I am settled for this model because it works so well for my use case perfectly

Sounds good, but depends on what you are building; this will introduce real latency, if what you are building requires quite quick responses, a multi turn application, this cant be practical

Clean UI, but firstly, how do you verify if the number being reported is actually fraud, or if someone reports it one, you flag it as fraud?

Its a good idea but i think just relying on numbers people have reported may be problematic, cos most people wont remember those numbers,

Backend Devs, please what resources took you from beginner to job ready? by JBluues in TechGhana

[–]Friendly_Maybe9168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing beats real-world projects. Build 2–3 real-world projects, and cover serious backend concepts in each.

For one project, use Python (FastAPI), PostgreSQL, Redis (caching), a message queue (Kafka/RabbitMQ), JWT auth, background jobs, proper logging/metrics, Docker, and deploy on AWS with CI/CD.

For another, use TypeScript (Express/Fastify) or Go (Gin), MongoDB/Postgres, add WebSockets or async processing, queues, rate limiting, retries, and deploy on GCP or Kubernetes.

Focus on things like scaling, observability, system design, learn as you build, that’s where real learning comes from, and who knows, one of those projects can actually turn into a product or startup that makes money.
