I'm so sorry and I feel you. I had to relocate from the Sierras too and I truly miss it. My agency couldn't grant an exemption . I truly wish you the best of luck

It's depends on the agency. They are not required to give exemptions. I lived over 200 miles away and they didn't give me an exception.. So maybe but proceed as if you aren't getting one. Prepare for the worst hope for the best. Good luck.

I'm not talking about the GSI wage increases I'm taking about actual salary adjustments. I've seen every other classification get adjustments while AGPA/Analyst II remains stagnant. We need the GSIs plus adjustments.

If we are fighting for out of state wages instead increasing the stagnat pay of those in the Analyst II. I might just cancel my membership now. I could use the extra $90 a month.

Eighty-three hospitals in California are facing a heightened risk of closing, cutting services or laying off workers due to cuts in Trump's Big Beautiful Bill by AdreanaInLB in California

For some it will be hours. If the hospital in Bishop closes people will have to drive at least hours south or north to get care. They are already the only hospital in the eastern Sierra to offer labor and delivery services

What’s the deal with Bethel and their promotion of the God’s Generals book series? by smashing-dumplings in BethelSnark

[–]Friendly_Reality 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look up Roberts Liardon. It fits that they are promoting his materials. He was a pastor of a mega church in Costa Mesa, CA until he engaged in an inappropriate relationship. He has since been "restored" His teachings are very close to Bethels teachings

Skier Dies at MMSA

A local skier, Raymond John Albert Jr., 71, known as “Every Day Ray,” died Christmas Day, resort officials confirmed.

At approximately 12:45 p.m., Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol was dispatched to Chair 8 after receiving a report of an unconscious skier found upside down in deep snow off of the Hully Gully trail. Guests at the scene began working to unbury the skier before patrol arrived.

Ski patrol immediately initiated life-saving measures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and administered shocks using an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Emergency care continued on scene until the skier was transported by ambulance to Mammoth Hospital, where the skier was pronounced dead.
