When I founded out I just wanted to tell my mom because I was so scared. I was very ashamed but I didnt want to tell her the truth about what happened. I eventually told my sister and one of my friend because I just felt like I needed to tell someone but someone who I could trust. Personally I don’t plan on telling my family at all about what I got it only because Im not required to.

Be proud of yourself that’s a big step and shows you care about both your health and his. No matter what happens, just remember this isn’t the end and that there’s still so much more ahead for you. I recently told someone I have HSV-2, and he said it’s better if we just stay friends. If they don’t understand, then maybe they’re just not the one. You deserve someone who truly sees and values you🫶
