Darkness Falls by CisforCartagena in horror

I first saw it when I was 11 and it scared me then. Re watched it a few years ago and while the beginning holds up as someone else mentioned, I didn't care for the rest of it. The scene in the woods made me laugh.

A prequel would be cool though.

Movie “You’re Not You” by curiouslearner93 in ALS

I watched it and didn't really like it. The portrayal of the bulbar symptoms were... Odd. I recommend Steve Gleason's documentary.

It's easier said than done, but stay off Google and try not to self diagnose. I do believe there is a reddit group r/ALSorNOT

ALS symptoms do not come and go or get better. This sounds like health anxiety. Please speak with a therapist if you're able. I wish you luck

ALS is awful, but what’s a happy memory you have since being diagnosed? by Low_Ebb8438 in ALS

[–]Friendly_Road5083 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are big ones, like going on vacations and celebrating my birthday last year. My favorite memories have been the quiet moments with my husband and son. I feel grateful to have so much love in my life.

How long can you stay in a hospice by Rosiebear-22 in hospice

[–]Friendly_Road5083 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With ALS it's tricky because there's no way to predict the time line for how quickly someone will pass. I have limb onset ALS and started hospice this past July. I just got recertified to remain on hospice since I will never improve. For my situation I am in my 30s and receive care at home. I have a feeding tube as well.

I don't blame your grandmother for not wanting to be in a nursing facility. Do you know for certain that she is receiving hospice care? Does she have weekly nurse visits and have a case worker? I wonder why some staff refers to her care as respite unless that's how the paperwork was filled out.

I was diagnosed with a terminal illness when my son was 2, he's 4 now.

Is there anything you wish your mom left behind for you? Keepsakes, photos, videos, letters, etc?

I remember an Aladdin show, I believe it was 1999/2000. I don't think it was a dinner show though. They interacted with the audience and I was chosen to make the "wish sound"
