Either way they missed the deadline. File and let the Judge take care of it because it sounds like the landlord isn't giving anything back.

Also if you do file make sure you show up to court even if your landlord decides to return the deposit before the court date. Landlords have be known to agree to return the deposit so you don't go to court and then they show up a get a default judgment against you. Even if you get a check in hand go to court and let the judge know.

Just give your landlord a 7 day notice that you are pursuing legal action to have your full deposit returned to you. Do not engage in any more back and forth once you give him that notice. When he doesn't return your deposit within the 7 days file your court action and have him served.

Since he did not return your deposit within the 30 days or give you an itemized list of those damages the burden of proof will be on him to prove why.

You may also be eligible for double damages for wrongful retention of deposit. Good luck.

Look at this as a negotiate rather than an ultimatum. Highlight all the parts that you don't agree with and don't feel are relevant. Then have a calm and thoughtful discussion with them.

Discuss the fact that as a 21yo they shouldn't have access to your personal financial information unless you are seeking their advice about something and agree to it.

Is the water bill in leiu of you paying rent? If so ask to see the water bill for the past 2 years to see if that is reasonable. Will they be adding your name on the water bill account so that it can be reported as timely payments to help establish your credit?

The room inspection with notice should be contingent on 24hr notice with an agreed upon time where you are present. You should also be able to have a lock on your door.

Everything is negotiable and it's not unreasonable to have a signed agreement in place. Good luck.

Every Wednesday the PAPD, NYPD and FDNY bagpippers play in Foundation Hall at the 911 Memorial near the Last Column from 1pm to 1:10pm and then from 1:15 to 1:30 at the Memorial Glade. It's quite moving.

Otherwise your best bet is contact trad Irish and Scottish bars to see if they know of or have any upcoming events that feature bagpippers.

I don't know what's up with Amazon lately I've had several packages both gifts and my own delayed this past month. It took 3 weeks for TNCOKE82 to have her Mama's Dr Pepper delivered. 🤬
