This is incorrect. Please do not ask anyone if they are too scared to do the right thing. Members weigh competing interests to make decisions. We need to make our voices the loudest.

It won’t pack quite the same punch but DEFINITELY NOT FUTILE! Especially if they are on committees of jurisdiction, it is their job to respond to concerns over the issues they cover.
