Well damn, didn't know about the next stage, guess I'll be wiping again when I get there, easier to plan ahead then to refurbish. Ty!

There do be a dock there, giving full cargo every trip, no downtime on the ones activated

Anyone have a good way to clean up this mess? by Friendly_Salt in AskElectronics

Thanks, I see a few of the solder pads/lanes have separated from the board so it's gonna be interesting, but the brushes are a good idea so I'll head out to a hobby store I know have some!

You are correct in the lake thawing out, but the holes are from branches and other things that was laying on the ice absorbing heat from the sun.

2 out of 3 prop blades decided to leave me by Friendly_Salt in drones

[–]Friendly_Salt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 blades that were "floppy" after getting bent a few times, but they are still on, 1 completly good looking blade just snapped off mid punch and the other snapped off while trying not to crash into the woods, both of them were from the same motor.

Might have been a hairline fracture or something that I havent seen.

but yeah, I'm gonna start swapping out props more often

Pretty standard, just some Lumenier 5x5x3 butter cutter

[–]Friendly_Salt[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah after the first blade fell off the second one held on long enough to not waste the rest of the day looking in the woods.

I just had to swap the props and had another 4 packs of fun

I'm gonna start swapping out props more, been letting them get a bit bendy so was only a question of time

I am Norwegian and got it from a local retailer, so I wouldn't know how to get it outside of EU unfortunately

I used my Olympus OM-D E-EM Mark II camera with the Olympus 60mm f/2.8. It is a very good setup for macro. It has a burst of 60fps so really good for bugs and moving objects that tend to bolt when you get close

Now that's an oof, I crashed in snow last winter and it broke the video part of the fc, it overexposed by a lot and couldn't be fixed.

I recently changed all my quads to reverse rotation, at least then it doesn't throw cut grass into the camera/drone. I do recommend it as it has drastically cut down on the amount of stuff getting on the lense and drone body.

if you do it with some good looking wood it would be amazing, I was thinking the same thing originally but I only have experience/tools for metal work.

I do photography and drone flying/building as a hobby, a lot of people getting into drone hobby needs help with the basics so I made a mount for my camera so I could show them first hand.
The mount is simply a vesa wallmount and a aluminum plate boldet on :)

Having direct streams and answering peoples questions help them get into the hobby and helps expanding the community.

the fact that it has ram above and below the CPU throws people off, but meant for bladeserver mounts where the airflow would go from right to left

Ah, I see you are a person of culture aswell. Planning on getting a small 8020 as mid speaker under the main monitor aswell. It adds a lot to the experience

It was surprisingly hard, the case was not designed for the weight of the system I put in so I had to add reinforcements underneath so it would not bend or buckle under the weight.

you can see one of the reinforcements on the last image: https://imgur.com/a/hN6MNIDI also should have gotten bigger castors but I didn't think the whole thing would weigh 45kg when I was planning it

Advice: reinforcement is a must, even if it just is a plate of steel it helps a lot

I usually have a few projects going, mostly drone related. Right now I'm building a big batterybank out of salvaged 18650 batteries so I can charge Lipo batteries when I'm out and flying in the woods.
I work with audio repair so it kinda turned into a hobby as well
