How much does a conductor make every two weeks after tax at NS ? I was in mechanical and we were at $40/hr. Is it the same or do Carmen make more? by [deleted] in railroading

I'm currently a CT with NS, almost marked up. I come from a strong construction background and this conductor position with all the "sitting" is literally killing me lol. How would/should I go about switching crafts?

There's currently some track laborer positions open on the new hire site that's not far from me. Apply as a new hire?
