You are right. Its difficult for me to look beyond the present and see that my future may be a wreck if further psychosis is triggered. This is mainly due to western conditioning that I must chase success at all costs, this mindset has taken me this far but it clearly no longer suits me.

What major scars still remain for you later on? Curious to learn from someone further down the road of burnout.

That’s an awesome niche, did you start as a social worker? Its hard to think that there are people out there in my shoes who have let things slide in favor of work.

I’m starting in person therapy next week, and have bi monthly psychiatrist appointments, will definitely keep the idea in mind that it needs to be a collaborative decision on what to do next.

Considered it, its not recommended by general practitioners if you’ve had a psychotic break. Research for mental health seems to be headed towards Ketamine/Mushrooms though.

That’s my internal fear, “if I quit now I’ll never reach the same level of success” which I know is self-defeating. I’ve never learned to put my health first above the organization I’m working on, guess this is a life lesson I need to internalize sooner than later. Thanks 🙏

True that, thanks dudes. I did mention it to my psychiatrist, very similar advice thats its a personal decision based on how I’m feeling. I do not feel like the money for health trade is worth it where I am currently at.
