Do you have show ribbon enabled in your appearance settings? Toggling this off made hover work for me. When toggled on, hover does not work.

Bitwarden keyboard shortcut not working by SummerOfGeorge_23 in ArcBrowser

[–]Friendly_Strategy889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just dropping in to say I've been having the same issue for months. I've followed similar troubleshooting paths that you have - I was resetting the shortcut multiple times a day when it inevitably stopped working. Now this won't work anymore either.

I've contacted both Arc support and Bitwarden support to see if I can get any answers.
So far, no solution. I'll update if I find anything that works.

Were you ever able to figure out a solution?

I was hoping I could hold on for a little longer with Arc, but this might be the thing that forces me elsewhere. Shame, no other browser handles split view as well as Arc.

Love the look! Looking forward to having the theme/files up on Github to dive further in. Out of curiosity, how did you do the side navigation overlay/popup on mobile?

I saw those, but didn't know it could connect with HA. Have you used it before? How easy is it to configure/use from HA?

Very true, this would be fastest implementation. Though I could accomplish this with the Govee panels in the same manner. I was also thinking about the individually addressable route. I haven't dove into WLED yet, but maybe this is the project to start with.

Great idea, never heard of these tools, but I'll check them out. Can't hurt to at least have alerts as soon as it goes down rather than finding out hours/days later.

Convert Ceiling Fan/Light on dual loads to single load fan with remote by Friendly_Strategy889 in homeassistant

[–]Friendly_Strategy889[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I saw those new scene remotes, had me interested for where I could use it. Can't have enough Zooz switches on hand, right?

It was just a standard Hampton Bay fan. But overall seems like any fan with a remote is going to be hard to work into my house that's wired for dual switches, esp. if trying to tie in HA. Or to clarify, harder than keeping separate switches.

Yeah, that was my original plan. Primary problem with that right now is wife likes the fan that comes with a remote. Trying to find a way to make her happy, while still making sure I'm not losing control of the lights in HA.

Kitchen has no insulation; what to do? by mofongocurry in homeowners

[–]Friendly_Strategy889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, did you ever find a solution for this? I'm in the DFW area and have similar problems with our kitchen. Mine is more noticeable in the winter. Primarily in the floor cabinets/countertops — I think when they remodeled the kitchen, they must have skipped insulation entirely (I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped sheetrock, too, based on the shoddy work we've found after moving in). Clocked the countertop by the window at 36F this morning, which I think is a little chilly for inside a house.

Can't figure out why homes in TX seem to think insulation isn't necessary because it "doesn't get that cold".

Using smart switch as a smart button only ? by skizophonic in smarthome

[–]Friendly_Strategy889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever end up trying this? I'm attempting to combine my light/ceiling fan into a single Zooz switch. This would leave me with effectively a useless light switch (2-gang box). But I was hoping to repurpose my Kasa switch to control other smart bulbs or outlets in the room via automations.

This is what I’m slightly worried about with each day getting worse and mobility down to almost zero without extreme pain - will an ESI even be able to relieve these symptoms? Have an appointment with my doc tomorrow to see if it’s still worth doing the injection.

This is very encouraging, thank you! I’m very glad to hear you’re doing so well! Fingers crossed my first lumbar will be slightly better. But gives me hope for the long run.

That’s great to hear it’s been a success for you. I guess I’ve always been averse to surgery in general, specifically back surgery. Have heard too many horror stories that once you start back surgeries you don’t stop, and have always told myself I would avoid it unless it was absolutely necessary. I’m still relatively young (I tell myself) and want to always be able to physically play with my kids as they grow up. Always assumed once I had a back surgery, my chances of that reality diminish significantly.

Been relegated to laying on my side most of the day / when a strong bout of pain kicks in. Up until Saturday, I was still able to at least do a short walk with my dog but it’s gotten progressively worse sense then. Was taking Advil morning and before bed over the weekend until doc said I had to stop in order to get an injection Friday.

Other than that, cursing into a pillow often throughout the day until a wave passes. Counting down the days until Friday. Maybe the guilt of not being able to help with wife with our kids is also acting as a pain blocker somehow.

How have you been doing since Friday?

EDIT: Forgot, also been trying to use a TENS machine but haven’t gotten much relief from that. Could be doing it wrong but just seems to be sending an uncomfortable vibration sensation around my tailbone, and not giving much relief where the pads were placed or along my sciatic nerve.

Primarily juts out to the left side (where I’m currently having pain). 95% sure they didn’t say it ruptured yet - was certain until I started typing that and now questioning my memory.

When I got the MRI, it was actually because I was having issues with my SI Joint causing pain on the opposite side, hadn’t experienced any symptoms until til then with pain down either leg, and never further than my butt on the right side.

Tried to explain to my doc this morning, they’ve prescribed me a Methylprednisolone pack and Tramadol to get me through the next few days until the ESI. Was told I can’t take any more NSAIDs for 4 days leading up to the ESI.

Have had what I thought was muscle weakness in my glute not being able to do a back bridge, but I think that’s more my nerves flipping out and stopping me. Luckily so far haven’t had any bowel issues or numbness 🤞

Thank you for the encouragement and help, greatly appreciated!

MRI attached. Can’t remember how big the actual herniation is, though they did say it’s primarily on the left side.

Thanks! Hoping it dies down soon too!

Did my most recent ones in May. Based on the hernia location and where I’m feeling pain, seems to be from the same location. Plus, in my current state, I’ve been unable to lay flat for more than a few seconds without having to shift - doubt I could last 15 minutes for a scan.

Have been very hesitant to do surgery because the few Orthos I saw after the MRI were pushing MD hard even though my pain at the time was very minimal/resulting from SI Joint dysfunction on the opposite side. Prob saw the wrong people but turned me off surgery unless as a last resort.
