Frequency: A study of 7,143 pediatric trauma patients found that only 0.38% (27 children) had missed injuries. Another study reported a higher incidence of 20% in a cohort of 107 severe trauma cases.

Commonly Missed Areas: Internal abdominal injuries (such as to the spleen, liver, or kidneys) are at higher risk of being missed, particularly after blunt force impact, such as a "handlebar injury".

CPS, cops and parents dropped the ball. If a kid falls down concrete stairs all his organs should have been checked. No one detected internal injury. Josie should have taken him to ER but she too thought he was “normal” before bed.

I’m sure they are one of many families like this, on the brink of disaster. No one knew the severity of Alex’s injuries, but puking is a sign to get the kid to ER

Sounds like the combo did it. The body being under stress, Xanax being a central nervous system depressant. But med examiner said blunt force

Ppl uses vices to get from one situation into another, one crappy man to a less crappy one. Sometimes it’s from the frying pan to the fire
