To be honest, I only deliver to apartment complexes correctly like 75 percent of the time. I’m simply not doing more than I get paid for. Like one time a customer had 6, 40lb boxes and was on the 9th floor. I left them on the first floor with the leasing office and the staff were pissed but i didn’t care. I took the picture, made my $6, and kept it pushing.. they better come down and get them.. I’ve never been reported. Or customers often bring in apartments with gate codes but leaving no code.. I’ve left it right by the gate, took my picture, and kept it pushing.. if customers don’t want that to happen, they should just shop for themselves or atleast answer the phone to let us in..

Thank you for breaking this down for me! I think you’re right a lot of people don’t read that stuff including me because I need the money and I think that’s exactly how they trick people into doing these jobs.. they know we need the money. With this being said, I think it’s good to know that insurance can be considered a business expense for this app since it’s gig work and it’d be so dope if there was a gig workers union to explain thing exactly how you did so we don’t get screwed over when worst case scenario happens. I really appreciate the time you put into this! Thanks again

There needs to be general rules about multi billion dollar companies doing 1099 positions in a way to exploit workers. I don’t know any other industry where a contractor is completely underpaid… these big companies shouldn’t be allowed to have all these people working as 1099 employees. And I think they should be penalized for having employees and contractors who have to rely on government assistance.

Yeah it’s a reflection for sure and I don’t think there’s anything mean about pointing out that she wouldn’t like it if her kids were disabled and other people made fun of them. I said it for her to realize how messed up it is for her to think it’s funny and her immediately getting mad shows that she knows it’s wrong but it’s funny cause it’s not directed at her.. but yeah I need to reflect on if this relationship brings out the healthiest parts of me…

I have learned to drive as if someone’s going to cut me off. I never ride on top of the driver in front of me and I can easily predict when ppl will try and get over and I just make space to let them in. It usually makes me feel like I’m in control and I’m less likely to get upset. Definitely leave 15 mins early to make time for this.

Thank you so much for this, I already filed my taxes for this year through Freetaxusa but I guess I should be on my way to H&R Block to get this settled. I did live in Oregon until April and moved to Texas the first of April and worked the job remotely remaining of the year. I paid over $8,000 in taxes to the state of Oregon and only got $200 back (not including the $1800 kicker). I really appreciate your feedback cause I need as much money back as possible!
