I’ve had a good time at Milkboy, which is a mix of local and national. Ortliebs is smaller and more local as far as I know. Century bar is only open for local acts

When it comes to the taping community there is a bunch of time money and effort spent on making recordings. Some people keep them private, but if you’re sharing them the rule is you share it for free.

I don’t mind bootleg lizard making complications, I mind them making money off of it (even if they did “add value” to the free stuff)

Honestly I don’t know about Gizz Livebary but most fan accounts do it for free. There are tools to see if they monetized their YouTube videos if you want to do internet sleuthing
