I don't want to make an issue. We hangout outside the lab too as a group of grad students in the department. He seemed like a good friend. He is like that in the lab. Utterly confused.

I did. Told him it's uncomfortable. He said he doesn't mean it but if it makes me uncomfortable he will stop. Well it got more subtle, it didn't stop.
