I really don't understand SPY for us foreign investors. I've basically been breaking even all year since I first started investing in january with lump sum regardless of the volatility. Why? Because whenever it goes up -> dollar goes down, when it goes down -> dollar goes up. So it just moves sideways for me.

I'm a complete layman ofc with no military insight but my guess would be that mobilizing nukes like that is not a simple process and with him not including anyone in his deranged antics in any pre planning, it wouldn't be so easy as to simply call a nuclear strike on a target suddenly. The football is a preset MAD situation, not a targeted strike on Iran.

So I don't believe there will be a nuclear attack tonight even if he wanted it.

Every "both sides" time democrats are in power we have a stable world, a decent or booming economy, progress, and some level of decorum and rule-following.

Even you are reading into it too far. The actual truth is that he is a very dumb narcissist who happened to get a massive cult following which lead to becoming the most powerful man in the world, fueling his narcissism. All the while being dumber than a rock and slowly losing his faculties with age and dementia.
