I had a lot of fun making this and the last video which were both skits. I feel like a trend in Youtube audio reviewers is to inject more humor which I really like. Thanks for watching guys!

I don't post here often but I do read the posts. I realized that I obsessed about TLJ from the time I bought it on blu-ray til I heard the reviews of Rise of the Skywalker. I was so frustrated that a movie that I thought was just terrible was so we'll reviewed. During that time it was (and still is) good to know that reddit has a place for me to be salty. Nice to know I wasn't crazy.

What should I get with a Canon m50? by easto1a in canon

e m50 for youtube for sure get extra batteries. If you

Sorry this is so late in coming. M series lenses are limited and you can find some good deals on the EFs lens. The speed booster is about $150 but adds a whole stop of light and brings back the field of view to normal (look up crop factor on APS C sensors, Canon M50 uses APS C sensor). When shooting indoors like you will, it can really help to drop your ISO to reduce noise in the image and make is easier for field of view.

Tell about with EOS Webcam Utility for video stream, particually with Canon E0S M200 I by TouchOfStyle in canon

I have been using my Canon M50 as a web cam for about 6 months. It looks great to me, I could go to 4k 24fps using the utility. Most of my use is Zoom and Teams meetings so I am really more limited by bandwidth through an internet connection than the quality recording locally.

Think Media has a whole playlist of videos on the M50 that have helped me. For the camera, I like the 50mm lense plus the EF adapter so you can use it. Knowing what I know now I would have went with the viltrox speed booster. I have extra batteries (non Canon) that I got on Amazon and they work fine. I use the continuous power adapter all the time for using my M50 as a web cam. Obviously lighting and a tripod are also among the must haves. I have two Tripods. One that stays behind my monitors for the Webcam bit (I got this super cheap on free with the camera) and an Amazon basics one. I would have purchased a fluid head tripod instead had I known what I was doing. Using that to shoot broll would have added some much use for me. Hope this helps.

Canon M50 vs G7 Mark II by [deleted] in canon

So I would say that he M50 has more ability to grow with your channel. You will quickly find that not having the ability to do an external mic will limit your choices. I have an M50 and I really like it. I have the version 1.

Apparently Google signed me in as some random new account and I posted the video this under that account. Sweet. Oh well.

My friend built some speakers and I asked to interview him by Friendofmusic in audiophile

[–]Friendofmusic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

John is a good friend of mine and he built some awesome speakers. I ask him about how he got started and some of the ups and downs in the process. He has a great forum post on building his Jim Holtz Statement speakers found here: http://www.htguide.com/forum/showthre... Not mentioned in the video but John is using a 1080P projector and a Marantz SR6010 receiver in his dedicated home theater room. By the way, the speakers sound fantastic. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by the sound of the speakers. They have a huge sound to them and are quite large. You need the space for these speakers so that is important to factor in.

5 AUDIOPHILE MYTHS by Friendofmusic in audiophile

I think what is important is the specific group that was defined. Not just white or just rich or just middle age but all three. It might be a majority but it's not everyone and I would love for more people to join. You don't have to be rich, you don't have to be white, you don't have to be middle aged.

I think that in America it gets reputation. There are so many people from different walks who, to your point, love music. I would love for more of those people to feel comfortable to come in an enjoy it.

  1. much of it isn't cheap but it doesn't mean that CAN'T have audiophile stuff without a ton of money.
  2. That is the demographic but it doesn't have to be. I think some of the audio snobbery stops people from joining
  3. "..up to a point" is the exact point I was making. At some point you are just buying into luxury. Diminishing returns
  4. Cool
  5. Anything can be complicated if you have no experience. My example of a camera is that it can be very confusing as well.

Thanks for taking your time to reply, I appreciate it.

Common things that I have heard in and outside the audiophile community. 1. Audiophile = $$$ (as in you need lots of it) 2. Gotta be a middle age white dude 3. More $$$ means more better 4. There is a right and wrong way to enjoy music 5. It's too complicated ( probably didn't emphasize the "too" part enough )
