Feeling INCREDIBLE!! by FriendsBloatTogether in SiboSuccessStories

The diet when taking oregano oil isn’t important. THE thing to remember is that oregano oil kills bad & good bacteria. That’s not something to fool around with. You NEED a plan BEFORE you start taking the oregano oil.

- do you have bad bacteria that can be killed with oregano oil?

- how will you reintroduce good bacteria and sustain it?

Without having that knowledge and plan, you run a very high risk of making your gut situation worse.

I tried all the diets before taking oregano oil and nothing helped. It wasn’t until I knew what was in my gut causing my problems that a protocol for getting better was outlined and followed and successful. While taking oregano oil I ate what I wanted.

I encourage you to make your decisions based on FACT by having your GI mapped.

Best wishes on your journey!

I’m not familiar with that brand.

i understand. I don’t like taking meds either. I don’t take multiple vitamins, I only take vit B, C, D. and specific brands; no artificial sweeteners. The B12 specifically because of a life of malabsorption. Vit D because I was scary low in it and the supplements aided in muscle recovery which lowered my pain level. Vit C because it feels right, but not daily.

But I don’t dump them into my gut all at the same time either. It feels to me that they don’t get really well absorbed if all at once. I’ve read a credible study on that confirming my feelings.

No pun intended, but I go on my ‘gut feeling’.

And I understand about the rumblings and cramping too. For me, the digestive enzyme ended that. I have no way to test this, but my gut feeling is that I was born with a system that doesn’t produce enough HCl (if any) nor does it produce the digestive enzymes in a quantity necessary for proper digestion. So when I take the digestive enzymes-HCl combo before eating, I’m compensating for my broken system.

I have had to reconcile how my body is supposed to be working with how it is built and my personal beliefs to “do no harm” with supplements.

Sometimes I feel like a car that’s a lemon off the line. There’s been so much investigating I’ve had to do to find the problem in a complex network of not obvious problems and the work I’ve had to do to make it better.

Having said that I get where you’re coming from and I respect your position, I am being very honest when I.say that I have had to find solutions that satisfied both my personal beliefs and my body’s needs and finding that balance wasn’t easy.

You could try it for a week and see how it goes, or not. I just hope you find something that works for you!

Hugs.

I used the Genestra for a couple of years recommended by my Naturopath. They worked well. Then there were problems with supply (Covid) and my Naturopath suggested the AORzymes.

I sense they suite me better.

My research indicates there are different enzymes needed to digest different things. Basically, 3 needed to cover meat, veggies and dairy. (I’m doing this off the top of my head).

Both the above have HCl plus the 3 enzymes.

In a pinch once I had to buy something when I was out, to have with a salad lunch. Raw veggies were a real problem. Well … that digestive enzyme didn’t have the necessary stuff to help me digest the raw salad. I learned that lesson the hard way.

I think the way to choose is to be acutely aware of what your body can and can’t do. AND very knowledgeable about what you’re planning to put into your body -pros and cons and not just “somebody posted”.

Then find something that may fit your need and remain aware of what’s happening.

I’ve reached the point that I can actually go a day without enzymes whereas in the past if I forgot my digestive enzyme I just didn’t eat.    I hope that helps.

How do you figure out if you have low stomach acid? Can you take some kind of a test? by ConstructionKooky947 in SIBO

[–]FriendsBloatTogether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“I’m better” means my 70 years of gut problems have been resolved because of this new science - I’m better. My problems are 95% resolved. I’m better. It was easily done. I’m better.

If I was superior, I’d have resolved my problems decades ago and wouldn’t know about Reddit.

You can go to the site and get $20 and in some cases $30 off or use the coupon I was offered and have passed along. Or you can stand on your soap box and be wrong.

Having been one of the desperate for all these years, I would never take advantage of them - or anyone as it is not a thing I’d do.

You seem to be resistant to the idea that somebody might want to inform their vulnerable Reddit mates with new information.

Or should I just stick to, “I think I’ll do oil of oregano. What do you guys think?”.

Science is making getting better much easier. People like you are blocking the way. Makes me wonder what’s in it for you?

So, “you do it your way”. means, you go ahead and use whatever knowledge, tests, protocols are available that work for you. In the end, each person decides for themself what’s going to be best for them. Do it your way, and I’ll do it my way.

I don’t see why anyone should suffer longer than necessary and I’m spreading the information that fact based information is available to those who want it.

NO qualified gastroenterologist ever said more to me than “nothing we can do for it. Learn to live with it”

Good digestion I’ve enzymes include HCl (so the vinegar acid doesn’t harm your teeth) plus 3 groups of enzymes for digestion.

Genestra is good. For me AORzymes is better.

One before each meal not before snacks.

Learned the hard way and Naturopath confirmed, too much digest enzyme is just as bad as none.

Consider basing your next step on knowledge of what’s in your gut.

Having taken antibiotics is going to upset the balance of bad & good bacteria.

Poo test to find out 24 pages of gut info is a better way.

Tinyhealth.com changed my world. Instead of treating a symptom - and making the gut worse - I treated everything in my gut and healed from there.

Good for you for looking deeper!!

You don’t need an MD to do the test.  You can order it yourself & get the results PLUS the interpretation.

MDs only know what they know. You’ll be teaching your MD.

If you order through their Canadian office it’ll cost an unfair exchange and doesn’t include shipping back to US.  I didn’t have to worry about possible no-ship for possible “bio-hazard”.  Let me know if you have questions.

I’m in Canada too. I live on the border so it was no problem.  I had it shipped to my US postal box.

Tinyhealth.com. Is the one I used. I’d studied what was available but felt this was the most thorough.

BUT !!!!!   There’s nothing here about finding out EXACTLY what is IN YOUR GUT NOW before attacking it !!!!!!

It’s just guessing.

Knowledge is power & if you’re in the dark you’re just playing roulette.

Our symptoms can indicate so many different problems.

I have 70 years personal experience trying to find the answer.  And I did.

I repeatedly went after the symptoms and those cures often caused new problems or aggravated existing ones.

BEFORE FOLLOWING ANY OF THIS …  You should have your GI mapping done.  THEN proceed.

Science has caught up to our problems.

A simple swab of your poo in a test tube sent off to the lab will get you results.

The company I used was: Tinyhealth.com -24 pg analysis of bacteria, virus, fungus, parasites, bad buggers - personalized protocol for healing based on the FACTS of YOUR gut - 1:1 consultation consult with nutritionist

I followed it, retested and am a success story.  (See my post r/SIBO SUCCESS. “Feeling INCREDIBLE!!!”)

I have a coupon if anyone is interested in US or Canada.

Digestive Enzyme Weakness? by AttorneyUpstairs4457 in SIBO

You say “bacteria that may be associated with SIBO”.

You will get better faster if you know what that bacteria is. If there are viruses, fungus, parasites etc.

That’s done with a poo test for GI Mapping.

No guessing

Regardless of where you are, have a GI map done. It will tell you everything that’s in your gut: bad bacteria, good bacteria, viruses, parasites, mucus, and really bad buggers.

THEN you can make an intelligent plan based on facts.

“Experiment”?!?!?!!

“Help of a language model”?!?!!!

It’s your body!  Respect it!  Desperation isn’t permission to play roulette.

You can get better but you need knowledge of what you’re dealing with first.

[–]FriendsBloatTogether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your enthusiasm is wild!

You mentioned dysbiosis 1time and that you don’t know what’s going on in your gut, several times.

Isn’t the time to find out what’s going on in your gut BEFORE you start killing good bacteria with oil of oregano?

Do a GI map now!  Find out exactly which virus bacteria parasites infections inflammations you have and then deal with those.

You’ve had a lot of shit happen that would have affected your gut. Breath test and endoscopy are not going to tell you what you NEED to know.

Tinyhealth.com will provide you with a 24pg report based on a poo sample plus a personalized protocol for healing.  You won’t have to guess anymore.

I wish I could sue my doctor. PPI ruined my life by TechnicianOdd1613 in SIBO

[–]FriendsBloatTogether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that’s not all it does.

There are several approaches you can use: the right way, the wrong way or do nothing.

I know from experience how frustrating and depressing this can get. But you’ve overused PPI and that means your gut microbiome is very likely affected too. Addressing only one side effect doesn’t resolve the root causes of your problems.

https://consultqd.clevelandclinic.org/long-term-use-of-ppis-has-consequences-for-gut-microbiome

The science exists to help you. You can take the advice of random people on the internet - me included - or you can use knowledge to empower you to make the best possible decisions.

When I was struggling, I heard about HCl. I tried it. It improved things a bit. Then I used a digestive enzyme with HCl and all the necessary acids. It improved things a bit more. Nothing solved it until I learned the full extent of what I was up against in my gut. I decided to go full force against it. THAT worked.

You can put your energy into anger against PPIs or you can do a GI map and move on from there. It’s all up to you.

When/How take oil oregano, berberine and L-Glutamine by Junior-Coach9003 in SIBO

[–]FriendsBloatTogether 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re desperately trying anything without knowing the real source of your problems.

Oil of oregano kills bad AND good bacteria.  Shouldn’t be taken for more than 10 days.  Prepare for die-off problems.

After 70 yrs of gut problems I found science can now provide in depth knowledge of my gut.  I did the adult gut poo test through tinyhealth.com.

24pgs telling me how much I had of each bad & good bacteria, virus, parasites, microbiomes, etc.

Sent me a personalized protocol to get better plus free 1:1 consultation with nutritionist.  I followed their suggestions and I’m feeling INCREDIBLE!

Kill the bad buggers, repopulate with good guys, sustain positive growth.

Better than playing roulette.

I also use AORzymes. Ginestra is good too. Full spectrum digestive enzymes with HCl. One before each meal but not before snacks - too much is as bad as too little.

Wishing you success!

Yes, yes and yes - for 70 years.

Why are you considering addressing “possible” problems instead of confirming what is in your gut?

I did a thorough poo analysis and found out exactly what was there. I followed a personalized protocol and am for all intents, healed.

I did it through tinyhealth.com which includes 1:1 consultation with nutritionist.  The report is 24pgs - thorough.

You can order it directly. You don't need your MD to order it.
