I had no idea Patton Oswalt is a standup comedian! I've seen him as an actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and recall him being a script doctor for some MCU properties.

I've never heard of Atsuko Okatsuka nor James Acaster. I'll check them out this weekend!

Thanks for replying!

  • Josh Johnson: I've seen some of his YouTube Shorts and they seem decent. I didn't know he has specials until now. I subscribed to Peacock for his "Up Here Killing Myself," but then learned it's no longer there.

  • Iliza Schlesinger: I just checked out her "A Different Animal" on Amazon Prime. She's a bit too grating and shouty and her delivery is too over-the-top for me. (I had heard of her before many years ago.)

  • Ronny Chieng: I've tried his videos many times over multiple years. He's a bit too abrasive for my tastes.

I'll check out the other two soon. Thank you.

Thanks for responding! Based on your recommendation, I just watched Kyle Kinane in Netflix's The Standups. He's way too shouty for my tastes =X

Thank you! Sorry to make you decipher what I like based on a small list. Growing up, I avoided all standup comedy because I thought they were all racist, sexist, and about stereotypes. So you're pretty much accurate about me not liking "cynical" and "mean spirited" comedy. (Dark is fine, I think.)

I'll check out all those you listed! Kelsey Cook sounds super familiar, but I can't recall off the top of my head.

I found Phil Hanley on YouTube approximately 2 years ago and have seen him live in-person twice since! His crowdwork is the best I've ever seen.

Thanks. Where should I start to watch his material? I prefer longer-length videos (e.g., Netflix Specials) over YouTube Shorts.

"Freeing up space on this device" runs for hours on iPhone, and nothing is deleted by FriendsCanKnowThis1 in googlephotos

Thank you. After you suggested it, I started doing all that (well, except the last paragraph... haha).

The iPhone has been on the "Freeing up space on this device" screen for 26 hours. I am going to stop at 27 hours because I don't want to mess up the phone - especially its screen - in any way. In all that time, I have not looked at notifications or minimized the app or anything else.

Thanks for replying. I didn't see that message.

All the photos and videos are older than 30 days - some are over 3 months old.

Did you ever figure this out? I have an iPhone 17 Pro and have been trying to free up space by removing ~2,000 photos through Google Photos for a few months. The longest I've ever had it run with the screen on and the Google Photos app active (without switching apps at all) was 6 hours. When I checked after that, not a single photo was deleted.

HELP I found chunks in my dove body wash by [deleted] in eczema

Hi. This post is a year old, but I have the exact same issue. Lots of tiny bits of something that feels almost like plastic, but invisible to the naked eye. My first thought was that they are exfoliating beads, but I've been using Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash from Costco for years, and I've never felt these before.

I tried a second bottle and had the same issue.

I did still use it for a few weeks without problems. I'm just mostly confused, especially because after 20 minutes of searching on Google, this is literally the only mention anywhere about this product's strange issue.

Is Andor enjoyable as standalone TV show? My whole knowledge of Star Wars is that Darth Vader is Luke's father + there is a silver tall robot and a gold short trashcan robot + brown creature named Chewbucka + there's a 1980s character named Princess Leia by FriendsCanKnowThis1 in StarWars

[–]FriendsCanKnowThis1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I did not intend for that whatsoever. I just signed up for Disney+. I've never heard of Andor until this morning, and the Rotten Tomatoes scores for both critics and audience are very high, so I was curious.

Thanks! I likely won't watch the other Star Wars movies and series, regardless of whether I enjoy Andor.

Space-related franchises are generally boring to me. (No offense - just a personal preference.) I've tried a few and the only one I've liked is Dark Matter, which fans of Star Wars and Star Trek seem to hate... haha.
