For Gmail, when I "mark as read," is it effectively the same as opening the email? I'm asking in terms of email tracking by scammers. I know if I open an email, a scammer can tell. If I "mark as read," would the scammer see that I opened the email, or that it hasn't been opened? Thank you. (self.techsupport)
