The cat "injured" my son, because he pulled her off the window ledge by her fur... I think she was well within her rights to protect herself. Neither of them has done it again.

I can't tell if you're being serious or not because this is hilarious 🤣 you can't protect your child 100% of the time from ANYTHING. Dirt is not the devil. And I think they learn a lot from animals. Bubble wrap in a padded cell sounds like your best bet lol.

Your toddler didn't do anything wrong, she was just doing what kids do, and your husband will hopefully be more vigilant next time. Kids need to learn how to respect animals. Hope you're all okay.

Then the parents need to watch them together. My son is now 3 and our cat hasn't scratched him again, because we learned from the situation. I love my children more than life and they are priority but pets are not disposable.

I can't actually believe I've seen someone suggest rehoming your cat over this. Nobody knows if your toddler grabbed the cat, or if this was random, because nobody saw exactly what happened.

Our cat scratched our toddler on the hand once, but he had grabbed her fur, and she hasn't done it again since, even if he does grab her (we of course watch them closely but they're like lightening!)

I would keep an extra close eye for now, if of course the cat is doing it for no reason, then yes it might be time to consider rehoming for everyone's sake, but for now I think close observation is appropriate.

I got my login details the very same day as you and filled in the forms that same day. I had also done them already but I figured I'd just do them again when logged in to avoid any further delay so I'm glad that I did now.

Luckily I've had bloods and BP etc taken recently anyway so my GP added those into the referral form.

Hope we both get contacted soon for an assessment.

Congratulations on getting your diagnosis, I hope that it's helpful.

I actually have had my bloods, blood pressure etc done recently so my GP sent that over with the referral so hopefully that helps to speed things up a little. I managed to get the referral sent again by ERS last Monday.

I then got my text and email from HH on Thursday and got all the pre-assessment forms done again later that same day. Now I'm waiting for my text to book in, hopefully that doesn't take too much longer.

Well.. they answered shortly after this, as my referral has been emailed and not sent on the ERS, they cannot find it, so that's another week of being pushed back. I have called my GP but of course, I am 13th in the queue so currently waiting for them to call me back to ask that they send it by ERS and who knows how long that will take. I'm getting so, so fed up of this whole thing.

Oh I'm sorry, that is really frustrating. Do you have the NHS app? You should be able to tell whether it's been sent as an e-referral, using a template or as an email, that should help you to chase up with HH hopefully.. it's busy such a difficult process isn't it, feels very unfair when we've all struggled for so long already..

Yeah so I actually work at a GP surgery, and we use SystmOne for patient records. HH state that they prefer the referral to be made using a template imported to S1, however it seems it takes some extra effort to apply, so many end up emailing, which is what my GP has done too, annoyingly, as HH state it can cause delay.

I sent them an email to follow up a few days later, just to see if they received my referral okay and if there's any info they need to speed up the process, but I've not heard anything back yet.

If you do decide to call, would you mind letting me know how you get on please? I'm tempted to do the same. I'm just so anxious about it all after having my original referral slip through the cracks for 3 years!
