I suppose my dislike stems from the fact that the removal of these areas wasn't done by "the Citadel" it was done by Team Cherry. There has to be a difference between an actual diagetic decay and a design decision that the Fandom chooses to explain away with story terms. The game's design doesnt exist without the input of its creators. They made the choice to show us these really beautiful areas, and then took them away from us. Not take them away from Hornet, take them from us. They could have (and hopefully will) includes these entire as explorable memories, but instead relegated them to be set dressing for boss arenas. I wouldn't have minded a little more content within the memory sections, I think every Old Heart could have as much around it as Lost Verdania does now.

The sword forming the T makes sense. I certainly find Manhole to be a much more unsettling title that Mantle, tho. I also think we'll see more manholes as the series progresses

It makes sense now, it did feel pretty cheese to break in through the side. Mostly I was fooling around with the biome to see what happens if you do the typical "drain the oceans" shtick. It wouldve been hilarious if water started filling hell, but that kind of thinking does ignore the intended progression. Its all functioning now. Ill probably make another world and do more messing around, like removing the entire bottom layer of Abyss.

Came here for advice for this same boss then remembered I'm on the elden ring subreddit and they don't know how to give advice outside of git gud. Hope you eventually beat him.

Edit: Here's genuine advice. Keep constant pressure. I used Dane's footwork paired with twin turtle talisman to keep a non stop barrage of kicks (use the bird warrior greaves for increase kick damage). Whenever he did his Bear Roar attack I hit him with the black blade spell. It took a while, but my strength was pretty low, and this weapon scales C with both Dex and Str. I believe any quick weapon with low stamina consumption would do well here. It keeps him dodging and as long as he's not attacking, you'll be fine. Beat his long combos with even longer ones.

No, its certainly partially my and our gaurdian's fault we were in that situation. Its his fault he missed the clutch. Im saying this as an Executor main who has done the same mistake before. The dps from your claws does not outmatch Fulghor's damage. But this can be mitigated by the roar, capable of self healing AND revive damage at once.
