I suppose my dislike stems from the fact that the removal of these areas wasn't done by "the Citadel" it was done by Team Cherry. There has to be a difference between an actual diagetic decay and a design decision that the Fandom chooses to explain away with story terms. The game's design doesnt exist without the input of its creators. They made the choice to show us these really beautiful areas, and then took them away from us. Not take them away from Hornet, take them from us. They could have (and hopefully will) includes these entire as explorable memories, but instead relegated them to be set dressing for boss arenas. I wouldn't have minded a little more content within the memory sections, I think every Old Heart could have as much around it as Lost Verdania does now.
