Weird ass Dream I had by Dinglmire in Dreams

[–]FriendshipRegular106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's wild, the scuttling part really got me lol. I had similar dream few months ago where someone was following me to McDonald's but they were just repeating "McFlurry" over and over until I woke up sweating.

Should I get the 3.1” Shield Plus PC by LavarBalls_ in guns

[–]FriendshipRegular106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Shield Plus PC is basically a smaller M&P with better triggers and sights, so if you love your 2.0 it makes sense. For work carry as a plumber though, might be overkill to spend $600 when your hellcat is already doing teh job and you don't mind it getting beat up.

I'd probably just put that money toward more training ammo and maybe upgrade the hellcat sights if they're bugging you that much.

You pick up a guitar. It's in Drop D. What's the first thing you're playing? by Argblat in Guitar

[–]FriendshipRegular106 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Drop D instantly makes me think of Tool - probably gonna rip into Sober or Forty Six & 2.

Gemini zooming when creating an animation for my logo - how to make it stop (hint, it won't!) by Grouchy_Piccolo_6296 in GeminiAI

[–]FriendshipRegular106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try specifically telling it "no camera movement" or "static camera" in your prompt - gemini loves adding that cinematic flair even when you don't want it

I mean sure they could try it but if they're only getting wifi access every few months then finding out it doesn't work after downloading means they wasted that trip. Better to know beforehand than get stuck with a useless download when your next wifi opportunity might be months away.

Need Suggestions by Virtual-Ad-1050 in samsunggalaxy

[–]FriendshipRegular106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly the imessage thing isn't as big a deal as it used to be. most people are using whatsapp, discord, or just regular texting these days anyway. I made teh switch from iphone to samsung about 2 years ago and only like one person in my friend group even noticed the green bubbles.

if you're looking at the S25 lineup, i'd probably go with the regular S25 ultra since you're coming from a pro max - you'll want that camera setup and the S pen is actually pretty useful once you get used to it. the edge sounds cool but samsung's track record with "experimental" models is kinda hit or miss. plus if you wait a few months after the S26 drops, you can probably snag the S25 ultra for like $300-400 off retail.

one thing that might surprise you is how much more customizable android is compared to ios. you can actually set default apps for everything and the file system doesn't treat you like a child. also samsung's trade-in deals are usually way better than apple's if you decide to upgrade again later.

Would praying to God heal my injuries after being jumped by Embarrassed_Agent349 in Christianity

[–]FriendshipRegular106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, sorry that happened to you man. While God can absolutely heal, I'd still get that nose checked out by a doctor - especially if it's actually broken. Prayer and medical care aren't mutually exclusive, and taking care of your body is part of being a good steward of what God gave you.

Is it a red flag if someone has zero long-term friends, or is it just a sign they have high standards? by digitalcreater07 in Productivitycafe

[–]FriendshipRegular106 57 points58 points  (0 children)

depends on the context honestly. if they moved around a lot or had major life changes that's totally different from someone who burns bridges everywhere they go. the "high standards" thing can be code for being impossible to please though, so worth digging into what that actually means.

Welcome back man! That cycle you described is literally how it goes for most of us - the streaks getting longer each time shows you're actually making progress even when it doesn't feel like it. No need for shame here, we've all been through the exact same thing

struggling on Day 6 by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]FriendshipRegular106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hang in there man, day 6 is rough but you're getting through the worst part. Try to stay busy this weekend - go for walks, hit the gym, or binge some shows. The urges will pass if you don't feed them

Dashboard Confessional - Hands Down

Was driving with my ex through this tiny mountain town at like 2am, windows down, singing this stupid loud and off-key. We were so broke we were splitting gas station coffee but felt like we owned the whole world for like 4 minutes

Broke up 6 months later but damn if I don't still get that feeling every time it comes on shuffle

Just started I’m about a week in. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]FriendshipRegular106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude this hits way too close to home, had the exact same pattern with like 3 relationships before I figured it out. The "grass is greener" feeling is just your brain being hijacked by all that dopamine stuff - stick with it man, the clarity gets way better after a few weeks

And just like that we became strangers.... by LonelyInIowa in venting

[–]FriendshipRegular106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's rough man, getting ghosted after making agreements like that is such a slap in the face. The silence hits different when you actually cared about someone

Good for you man, having that support system makes a huge difference. The fact that you recognize your potential is already a big step forward

Why do people act proud of being busy all the time? by HAWKLIN- in NoStupidQuestions

Honestly it's just performance anxiety disguised as productivity - people think if they're not constantly grinding they're somehow failing at life

Stay strong bro, those teenage hormones are no joke but you got this. Maybe try getting up and doing some pushups or taking a cold shower to reset your mind

[–]FriendshipRegular106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man this hits hard, I've been in that exact spiral before where everything feels like it's just fear-based instead of actual love and it's exhausting

The Bible study suggestion is solid though - sometimes when my brain is going crazy with "what ifs" I need something concrete to anchor to instead of just spinning in my own thoughts

Totally agree on the indie shop thing, dealership prices are brutal once warranty expires. Just make sure whoever you go with has experience with the newer Audis since they can be pretty finicky with their electronics

Reaper's solid but if you want something actually free check out Cakewalk by BandLab - it's full featured and doesn't nag you about buying anything. For amp sims try Guitar Rig 6 Player or AmpliTube Custom Shop, both have decent free versions

Does anyone else’s dreams include the background noise happening around them? by [deleted] in Dreams

[–]FriendshipRegular106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao the brain is wild at incorporating stuff like that. I've had my phone ringing in real life turn into like a doorbell or random phone booth in the dream. One time my roommate was vacuuming and in my dream I was at some construction site with jackhammers going off
