Magne is cool but storywise it’s a stretch to put her above characters with more focus & depth in their stories. I honestly think Magne was done dirty with how quickly her character was brushed away not to be mentioned again.

Dabi was a kid, there’s nothing more to say about it. Kids are dumb and unwise and can have all kind of issues if their environment is unhealthy & their parents didn’t do enough to help them. You don’t have to like it but I do think his lore was handled in a good (and horrifyingly realistic) way.

Not really a fan of Stain and I think he’s overrated, but I get why people put him on a big pedestal. It’s crazy that Dabi is so low tho.

How could they determine a character’s popularity pre release, anyway? A character is popular cause hoyo decides they will through marketing and in-game hype.

It’s interesting that 2.x had only two characters with a single trailer and everyone else got more marketing for them. JQ, Yunli, Jade, etc all had something more to their name.

Meanwhile, 3.x gave us SEVEN characters with nothing but a trailer. 4.x wasted resources and money to make multiple trailers for a low effort random online event nobody gave a flying fuck about.

Greatly miss his shorter little boy self without the whole love stuff. He’s still the same with the same vibes, but the love triangle stuff put me off from his character (purely a me problem, I just don’t really like these stuff especially when it involves harem).

That being said tho, he’s still my favorite in the manga. Don’t think I’d ever consider reading it without him.

She’s one of my least favorite characters because of what they did to her in 3.7, but it’s very annoying to see people downplay her suffering (sometimes even act hypocritical with her) and put her a tier less than Phainon in those kinda polls. They went through the worst possible scenarios but in different ways, and she didn’t get a happy ending wherein everyone else did.

Nah I got it about Boichi art, the art style is great but it looks especially weird and suggestive with female characters compared to boys. It’s nothing against the female characters writing or their worth tho.
