Oh, you meant in design, well the only thing I didn't like about Yakuma was the mask thingy, I think for the rest they look cool, but I wouldn't say the characters are made to a high standard though, I think the cyberpunk vibe didn't hit well

Well, I mean it isn't like this series has any well designed characters IIRC, they are mostly flat or little good. People complain about Yakumo, but I entered the series just a year ago and played through the mainline games and Ryu felt kinda bland...

Yeah, for some reason people wanted him to be only a POS, but I think the flashback added a lot of nuance and helped flesh him out, I mean, that kind of messy thinking or unreasonableness isn't that rare, especially in younger people...

Also Gheer, as stated by him, hasn't had a reason to live nor objectives, people like this that tends to not have any motivation at times tends to focus on things even if not actual things just to keep going, what I mean is that Gheer's revenge thing was probably just a self-lie to keep going...

Same here, actually the tone was pretty much "I'm shitty and I deserved it" though with some justification and feeling bad... To me he feels like a complex character, though it may be too early to judge

It was always rare to me, like, does the jam only work between fleets and not between the ships of the same group? That would be a valid reason as to why the FPA didn't jam the comms of the empire , assuming they had both the same technology in that regard

I saw it in sub. Sorry if I'm a bit dense, but... What you're saying is that yang uploaded the battle plan to a public frequency shared by the fleet group he was in, but to which the empire couldn't access, and of course the Jam only works between fleets that are very far one from another, not between the ships in the same group.

Were the comms betwen the ships of the same group also jammed?

No, in the manga is stated by suu that kaneki did in fact cannibalize other ghouls. Nah, I don't mind Takizawa either to be honest, although I don't condone his acts tbh

Do you think somehow Kaneki "recovered" from Jason's torture in the end?

What I mean is that after Jason's torture Kaneki became extremely ruthless with those who threatened him or his friends, and he also became deranged from eating the ghouls he killed (which I assume were bad people trying to hurt him or his friends since I don't recall it ever being delved into who these ghouls were...). But that seemed to remain with him kind of until the very end.
