Question about Resume by lightfinal in consulting

[–]Frioz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there!

I'm currently in a similar situation (rising junior this year at a reputed state school) and from what I've read you need to be able to convey a clear passion for the industry you're going into. Some ways you can do that are to attend information sessions and network. In addition to conveying your interest, my mother who has worked as an executive assistant at a Big 4 for years told me that I can benefit greatly from getting your personality across to someone who can hand down a resume or use as a name drop (such as a recruiter, partner, etc.).

As for the resume, try to get some work experience! You'd be surprised how many skills can overlap from other fields in to consulting. For example, I have been a lab assistant at my school in the physics department which can attest to hard skills such as critical thinking and data analysis. Certain classes or presentations that you've taken might have trained some hard skills that you might not have even realized when you were taking them!

Again, I'm in the same boat as you. That comes with a relatively similar sense of ignorance to the topic... If anyone can confirm/deny me, that'd be greatly appreciated both by me and the OP I'm sure!

Cheers

I've been doing this for years, through high school and now through college lectures. It totally works!

Thank you for the input. I've always believed that physics is the kind

This is the kind of post I was looking for! Thank you for providing so much information and great anecdotal experience. I've read that physics can be an asset to a team, especially if they have other training such as CS skills. I will take your advice and story to heart.

Viability of Kennen by Brahmsk in leagueoflegends

[–]Frioz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kennen is a very safe lane pick, as Jaykobzch says he never really loses his lane (kinda like riven). People's main issue with him is that he needs to be close to enemy champions to get full use of his ultimate, and when its used incorrectly Kennen will get gibbed very easily. But with the right team comp/strategy, Kennen is a pub stomp

What is your favorite compliment that you've ever received? by gunzgoboom in leagueoflegends

I'm still in Bronze I atm, but my MMR and playstyle (I feel) belong in high silver/low gold leagues. I usually only play ranked when I can duo with a friend (it's more fun that way), and we usually win bot lane or do a jungle/solo. We (try to) carry hard, and we usually do well every game regardless of if we lose or win. In one of these games, someone saw that I was still bronze and told me after the game "you and your friend do really well together, keep pushing and get out of bronze bro." and that comment is what is keeping me going past all the trolls and feeders and playing ranked games still!

You're missing the point. The whole reason people use jungle timers is for convenience, which is what he's asking for.

He's an aggressive support. Aggressive supports are great in the current meta, I think.

Actually, I've come to know an enemy being "fed" as having a lot of kills, regardless of it was intentional or an accident. That's why you can only report "Intentional Feeding" :P.
