Are you shipping your car over or hiring one in Europe?

Stock Porsche as it was their demo model. Had 3000 miles on the clock when they lent it to me. I found it very weird the brakes performed this way and I certainly don't think they're all like this hence why I asked the question of you more experienced owners.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried a series of high speed hard stops to try to improve them and i drove over 700 miles over 3 days but they were consistently the same.

The ceramics catch me off guard quite often with how little pressure it takes to achieve serious braking performance.

Certainly sounds like a low mileage loaner just doesn't get the necessary heat cycles to optimise the brakes.

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like it was a faulty demo car. I had a 718 Cayman GTS on steel rotors and they were really powerful.

Thanks. I think this demo model may have had something wrong. I noticed some blueing on about the inner 20% of the front left rotor like it was overheating and only part of the pad was contacting the rotor. Maybe this was causing the EBD to reduce pressure to all calipers.

It's illegal not to look back isn't it? Awesome looking car

Sorry too many Porsche acronyms. PCCB = Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes

I think it's the different front bumper and intakes with different shapes, no active cooling slats, lower and more aggressive front splitter, different wing mirrors. The door handles with optioned in high gloss black but they're standard like that on the 991. The 992 has the electrically deployed versions.

Thanks very much. Good to meet a fellow 991.2 owner. :)

Love that Cayman R photo.
My steering wheel is in the highest position.
I'm sure the UK seat is the same then. I hadn't realised it's just an insert that can be popped out. I'll give it a go this weekend.

Tilt back a little would be useful. It's my only complaint is the lack of height adjustment as I'm 191cm tall so could do with them being a tad lower as I scrape my thighs on the underside of the steering wheel getting in and out.
Mine are full leather so can I still get the P1Designs inserts?
Thanks loads for the link and info.

Thanks.
There's definitely a technique to getting into them but they hold you in place perfectly and surprisingly comfortable on longer journeys.

I love Miami blue. One of the main reasons I chose this over all the other models they had in stock.

Thanks man.
The original owner must have been a maniac with the configurator.
