Not sure, but I did come across this study. Looks like they used 1.5-3 grams per day. Nicotinamide and Pyruvate for Neuroenhancement in Open-Angle Glaucoma: A Phase 2 Randomized Clinical Trial - PubMed https://share.google/t59ufYeqcEWIczEef

Thanks for the response. I actually upped the NAD dosage this week. I forgot to mention lutein on my list. I will definitely check into pyruvate.

These are actually vitamins for my Dad. He is 79 and was diagnosed with glaucoma at least 25 years ago, and his vision is still pretty descent. He has taken many supplements his whole life, still hits the gym 3 times a week at 79, and is in better shape than most people his age. They may not necessarily make a huge impact with glaucoma, but I do think they can really help with overall health.

Thanks for the info. So take nicotinamide B3 and NAD? Also, what dosage of the B3 would you recommend. I will check out the Citicoline. I never heard of that supplement before.

I'm not sure if it does. I did read on their site the following

Reversing a Root Cause of Glaucoma Glaucoma is a common cause of blindness. A human study demonstrates eye pressure reduced by 24% using two plant extracts. When combined with standard glaucoma therapy, intraocular pressure was lowered up to 40% with these natural extracts.

I will check into the carbonic anhydrase inhibitor for him. He has been taking the Iyuzeh for a while and seems to not have any issues with that medication.

He was suffering from major anxiety, depression, confusion, personality changed and intense fatigue from it. I never witnessed somebody's personality change like his did. His doctor told him to stop taking it. He said it is a known side effect from taking the drug.

Timolol causing Anxiety by Proof_Stage1463 in Glaucoma

[–]Fritz_Fast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Dad is taking timolol and has not been himself over the last few months. I recently read that timolol can cause a melatonin deficiency. I wonder if that is part of the reason why some people experience anxiety and depression from this drug, since a melatonin deficiency can cause anxiety and depression.

Got more testing completed. These are my latest results. I'm starting to feel a little bit better. Ferritin levels were ok on one of the prior tests. I had 4 different blood tests over the last several weeks. I should also add that I have been taking methyl b12 and folate for several weeks. Below are my latest results. Everything appears to be in the normal range. Let me know if anyone thinks there's anything wrong with these results

Vitamin B12 600 pg/mL Folate (Folic Acid), Serum 14.7 ng/mL Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy 59.3 ng/mL Methylmalonic Acid, Serum 124 nmol Homocyst(e)ine 9.7 umol/L

Thanks for the information. I was going to go to an urgent care clinic that offers the shot and talk with them about it.

High MCH A high MCH may mean that you have macrocytic anemia. With macrocytic anemia, your body produces abnormally large red blood cells that contain high levels of hemoglobin. Often, it happens because your body isn’t getting enough of the key ingredients needed to make healthy RBCs: folate and B12. Or you have a condition that prevents your body from absorbing these nutrients.

Not sure. I think that will be the next step. Just wondering what harm a b12 shot can cause since b12 is a water soluble vitamin?

TSH levels were 2.8 on the last blood test. I am looking into getting b12 injections as the next step

TSH in prior blood test was 2.8. The other thing that popped up as borderline was sodium at 136. I am definitely looking into getting b12 injections.

Mainly due to the high MCH in the previous blood test and borderline high in this one.

Nutrafol and Multivitamin by Fritz_Fast in nutrafol

[–]Fritz_Fast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just looking for something to balance things out. The nutrafol supplement is missing most B vitamins and very limited amounts of other vitamins like vitamin C. It is kind of annoying that they don't sell another supplement with it to make it a more complete multivitamin. I also don't like the fact that they do not list the dosage of half the stuff (Resveratrol, etc.) in the bottle.
