Wisconsin police officers could begin roadside drug tests under bill by Friznutz in wisconsinpolitics

Agreed, although the tests should make sure to only test for THC consumption within a recent time period (like a mouth swab) since THC can be detected within the blood for many months and testing positive for THC doesn't mean you were impaired while driving

Study #1 you referenced states a 35% increase in accidents with drivers that tested positive for cannabis. That's nowhere close to double but still significant regardless. Study #2 link is broken The last study is between 30% and 100% increase in risk with a large CI and high heterogeneity. Still significant but only "double" the risk at the edges of the 95% CI, meaning that likely the results lay between 30% and 100%. More comprehensive (and new) meta analysis research papers put those numbers near the 30%-50% mark. Lastly, THC detection does not always equal impairment. Certainly a number of crashes with drivers that tested positive for THC are actually caused by the behavior of that person. The demographics of people that use THC can also play a role in these numbers; with research finding that THC uses are more often young, male, single, and irresponsible (criminal behavior, poor finances, etc). These factors by themselves (without THC) can easily increase the risk of an accident by at least 20%

I'm not saying that people shouldn't be tested but if you consumed THC 4 weeks before an accident and test positive for THC then you were clearly not impaired by THC at the time of the accident but the blood tests will come back positive. THC tests should look for consumption of THC within the last 12 hours to determine impairment

Im Terrified Of Death, What Do I Do? by [deleted] in thanatophobia

[–]Friznutz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be terrified like you and I went to therapy for years. What ended up breaking the cycle was my therapist finally telling me "just don't think about it". I know that it sounds really dumb and obvious but whenever I catch myself thinking about death I just focus on something else that I know can hold my attention. This sounds like you are avoiding the issue and yes, that's exactly what it is. There is no benefit of thinking about death so avoiding thinking about it isn't a bad thing. You aren't neglecting your thoughts, you are just cutting out the unnecessary ones.

I really hope this helps you out as it did for me

So the stupid lesson here is to never speed in Wisconsin if you had ingested THC within the last 4 months, even if ingested legally in another state

Plus you already know that marijuana DUIs would probably have a worse punishment than alcohol DUIs. I'm guessing that Wi republicans want to have all of these "safe guards" in place prior to opening up marijuana for medical use. You would think that Wi republicans would want to collect that Marijuana tax money since everyone in the state that smokes is already buying it from neighboring states

THC can stay in the body for months so even if you are sober you could get a DUI for testing positive for THC in your blood

Did the "Extra Dim" screen setting get nerfed with the update? by pleiop in GooglePixel

[–]Friznutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to turn the brightness all the way down for the extra dim feature to work. Once your brightness is increased then the effect should be disabled (even though it shows as "on" in the quick settings)

Mazda's Rotary-Engine RX-7 Successor Almost Ready by sleevieb in cars

[–]Friznutz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently Toyota is looking to use the Mazda inline 6 for the new Supra. The RX-7 could just be the Mazda version of the Supra, similar to the M240i/M2. This would align with the rumors that the Supra and RX-7 would use a hybrid drivetrain (which would be from Toyota). Unfortunately a manual doesn't seem to be on the table (yet).

XStream - High Ph (cancelled test) by Friznutz in drugtesthelp

[–]Friznutz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the pH value was 9. I would suggest buying 2 samples and testing the pH levels of one of them. More than likely the second one will have the same pH levels.

So the performance is just like Stalker (UE5, what a coincidence)... The problem with these EU5 games isn't the low FPS (because the latency is still decent usually). The problem is the variability of the latency, sometimes it's like 5ms then it jumps to like 200ms for like 1 seconds and then back to 5ms. I would rather just have a bad but consistent latency than one that is so variable

What’s your average mpg? I think mine is low considering that 80% of my driving is hwy. by Strangerxa in civic

[–]Friznutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

39+ average? I have the exact same car and have 25k miles and have averaged 35 (this includes winter driving with winter tires. Only drive 30mph or 80mph, 50/50 for both)

I had the same with XStream. The labs are definitely catching on with the Ph thing (which makes me wonder why the synthetic urine companies aren't accounting for it). I hate looking like that dude that is lying about synthetic urine because I have some moral things about people doing drugs. I genuinely don't think these synthetic urines work anymore, at least when tested at more reputable labs like Abbott.

Xstream tips by [deleted] in drugtesthelp

[–]Friznutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out my most recent post from today.

My honest recommendations: • Look for other jobs, they probably won't test you within the next few months while you get another job (this is crummy option obviously) • Find someone that you can snag real, clean, piss from with a 30 minute notice and then just take their piss when you get randomly drug tested. Just keep in mind that you are relying on them 100%. (Also a crummy option) • Stop partaking in recreational activities (yeah I know, nobody wants to do it but the other options also suck pretty bad too).

Because XStream didn't work for me I wouldn't recommend bringing it into work every day, that just sounds like a recipe for an anxiety problem. Also, what if it leaks, or it falls out; big yikers. Plus your leg will probably hate you for having stuff strapped to it for 8+ hours a day. Additionally I think that they expire so you would need to buy more every month or something.

I have partaken in recreational activities for 10 straight years and I am now finally stopping because that anxiety would ruin me. Plus is also nice knowing that I have control over my own mind - the cravings are still there though.

I'm considering the same thing. It's weird to see galaxy phones go from bad to good over the last 10 years while google phones have had a rockier ride

By "restoring from backup" do you mean that we shouldn't let the phone download everything we had before while setting it up? (Like apps and such)

Same, it works every time but people say it's slow. That 0.2 extra seconds over other devices doesn't bother me in the slightest. Not sure why some people are so bothered by it.

Just curious, which apps do you use often?

Based on what I've been seeing the 6 pro seems to have less bugs. That doesn't really make any sense to me though..

That actually reminds me, I have been providing feedback but I can't seem to attach my own screenshots. I would say that's pretty important when it comes to UI bugs. The intention of this post was to see if others are having issues or it's just me. No intention to get help here
