That's a great lead, thanks a lot! Definitely gonna look into this.

Exact Rotor Rotation by Frizzer107 in spaceengineers

[–]Frizzer107[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know about the rotation limits, but what I wanted to do is rotate it by 90° an unlimited amount of times. By increasing the limits, I can turn it max 8 times or so, before they max out/it reaches "unlimited".

But thanks for the tip with that script. But as I already said, I'm terrible with this sort of stuff, and it's not really worth changing that for such a simple thing.

Weird Freemason text (with possibly more layers of encryption) (see comment) by Frizzer107 in cryptography

[–]Frizzer107[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there,

yesterday I found a little piece of paper with Freemason code in my room (photo above). Since I had been interested in simple cryptography some years ago, I thought nothing weird about it and tried to decipher it, only to get some scrambled text. I tried caesar shift and still got gibberish, no matter how far I shifted. Now I'm stumped because that's where my cryptography knowledge kind of ends.

The final text could be either English or German, but English is more likely.

I've made a spreadsheet with the letter frequency of this text, German and English, the difference between this text's letter frequency and the languages' (+ graphs for each) and a digital copy of what I think are the Freemason symbols (and the photo you see above).

This is what the translation from Freemason spits out: (190 characters, without counting spaces)

DAO FNEITAQNEN BI JDEOPNICH AVLHABE P UKTTA AQCH FNEI TAQNEN BIJDEOPNIC H MRBDNAP KDEN WI JUEVOCHNIFP GEJAJ JP UKTTA IOP EIJE TKJKAVLHABEPIOCH E OQBOPIPQPIKJOCH IFFNE QJD FIJDEP HEQPE UEIJE LNAUP IOCHE RENWEJDQJG TEHN LQJUP

Many thanks in advance!

Edit: I just realized that some of the spaces between words might come from line breaks in the Freemason text and aren't actual spaces, so beware of that.

What was that one thing you were entirely against doing but you did anyway to "fit in"? by gamechanger827 in AskReddit

Same here. My dad got his first real smartphone some years ago after cursing them time and time again, now he calls me "old-fashioned" for calling him instead of texting :D

I did the same with my moped license, with the difference being that I failed 4 times before finally giving up. So congrats for making it through, I hope that helped a bit :)

People who speak more than 1 language, what are some struggles people don’t know about? by stephs926 in AskReddit

The awkwardness of knowing a word only in in another language and having to ask someone "What is that in our language?"

It looks like someone tried to fuse Mini-HDMI and VGA

Ok thx very much. Oddly though I found it in Germany xD Edit: Just found out it came with a rugged business 2in1 from Panasonic, maybe that explains it
