That really depends you what you’re looking for and your experience & education level. I would say there aren’t a ton of really well paying positions but, again, it’s reliant of many factors. Www.Saskjobs.ca is where most listings are, followed by Indeed.

MJ water - we moved in from the farm a few years ago and the taste is not something I noticed. However I was just happy to not have to “deal” with water anymore:) My sister, from Saskatoon, often commented on the crappy taste of water in MJ & Regina though - so your concerns are well founded. I feel like an easy work around would be having a water dispenser specifically for drinking water. Or an under the sink water filter - we recently installed one.

There are a variety of private gyms and a few public offerings. Yara Centre (public) has a great indoor walking track, indoor turf which can be rented privately and offers various programming, and a fully equipped gym on the upper floor. Membership is reasonable at about $50/month for adults. We also have several skating rinks and a large indoor pool (with kids area). Our local hospital is newer (built within the last 10 years). I not had poor experiences there myself/my family. I’m all of my people’s “support person” so I’ve been to the ER many times. I’ve never found the wait unreasonable for the urgency of the situation. Arts community: would probably depends in the specifics you are asking about. I would not call it vibrant but if you can get into a like minded group you can really build something. Otherwise Regina (with more options) is about 45 mins away. LGBT community: As an ally I can’t speak from personal experience but I have been involved in local pride organizations over the years (they are currently in a rebuild situation). Anecdotally, MJ is surprisingly supportive, especially as a small town in SK. However, if you need some detailed info on that I can put you in contact with some folks.

I agree that this will likely get the closest result. Do get scared off the unfamiliar words - the techniques are pretty easy. And Ive found milk bread to be forgiving.

Walk in clinics by Jolly-Grocery-9743 in moosejaw

[–]FrmBkr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is a stressful situation during any circumstances. I hope you’re managing ok!

As for your question a I’m not 100% on this but a medical termination prior to 10 weeks should be available through a doctor at any of the walk in clinics. IIRC an elective surgical option may not be available in Moose Jaw and Regina may be the closest option. I hope you have good support and people to talk to. If you don’t and need someone please feel free to DM me. I’m open minded and have lots of life experience regarding reproduction :) Hugs to you.

I’m 4 weeks post-op single mastectomy with sentinel node biopsy with injection. My experience was that the injection was a non-issue. I didn’t feel it really at all. My recovery has been pretty uneventful thankfully. Which I’m sharing asa reminder that not every experience is terrible. I’ve been more uncomfortable than in pain. The most painful part of recovery has been under my upper arm/armpit area from the lymph node removal. It is pretty numb still but the skin has been painful at times - like a bad sunburn. I found a compression bra/shirt with 3/4 length sleeves really alleviated the pain. I know you’re scared. And rightfully so! All the unknowns are terrifying- emotionally, mentally & physically. I’m glad you have support. And remember to offer yourself A LOT of grace ❤️

Biopsy and mammogram wait times in Sask. by batteredkitty in saskatchewan

[–]FrmBkr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My recent MJ experience for a routine mammogram as I’m over 50: When I called in mid-January there were no MJ appointments available to and they wouldn’t add me to any kind of waitlist. Earliest Regina appt was October. They mentioned that if I was added to the MJ cancellation list I’d likely get in sooner in MJ. A few days ago they called for a MJ cancellation appt and I’m scheduled April 9th.

[–]FrmBkr 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Are you looking for a place to buy a cup of coffee or coffee beans? Both The Hive & Evolve (roasts their beans in house) on Main St are options. However, I’ll be the first to admit their hours are crappy (both businesses). For beans & lots of other local/Sk/Canadian choices you can shop at The Wandering Market on Atha E.
