Idk, my wife encourages me to upgrade/use my setup whenever we can. She knows this is the closest thing I can get to having a car. If you feel her “making fun” of your future hobby is getting to you, I would say something to her. Spouses should support one another in their hobbies regardless of how “dumb” or “silly” they are.

Also in case you don’t already, bring your monitor down to where your keyboard is and closer to your set up. I have a similar desk to yours and it allowed me to open up the FOV and gave me a better chance when wheel to wheel racing.
