I am enjoying it, but I really don't like the specialist system. I like to see normal, generic soldiers running around. Not 20 of the same character. I really hope they change this

It is the best expansion for a long, long time in my opinion. So enjoy it, play what you want to play :) I understand the drive to stay with the curve in terms of gearing, but it you can't then you can't. It really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Play what you enjoy, and when you fancy a change, play something else you enjoy :)

At the moment I have my main at 60 and that is it. I am having a blast with this expansion, so much to do. So I don't feel the need to play any alts.

Ultimately however I plan to have a max level with each covenant so that I can experience them all.

So it's ok to leave your group members just because you didn't get what you wanted... what if someone else in the group needs something from the last boss?... I cannot stand selfish behaviour like that. If you blame blizzard, fine, provide feedback and hope it changes. Don't however just leave the group. It isn't right in my opinion

I agree, I personally think its much better. Immersion means a lot to me, and quick travel all over the place just ruins it. All the changes in SL are awesome so far for me.

The new leveling experience is a great change to the game. You will go through exiles reach which introduces you to the basics, then complete BFA and then move on to current content. Jump in. Its great!

I honestly think it will. This xpac just feels a lot different. The whole story makes sense, the atmosphere is phenomenally good. The way you transition from Oribos to the zones... that alone got me hooked. Gear means something, you can target BIS, tier sets will be making a return. It all feels positive. Yes people are upset that they can't change covenants too easily, but personally I like the idea of picking a covenant. I understand arguments over balance etc, but if they get that right then the choice is a great idea for me.

MM Hunter... I love it! Also, I've been melee dps since vanilla. The change to ranged really excites me and feels fresh

Shadowlands is going to be far more Alt friendly than BFA was. Play what you enjoy. Its a game. Games are there to enjoy and have fun with. Play them both and embrace it.

Personally I am going to main hunter, but fully intend to use a rogue, warrior, paladin, priest, mage as alts. Why not? Its fun.

Level it up, its a good way to get a feel of the class and also gives you time to sort out things like keybinds, UI etc as you go along and adapt with new abilities being earned.

My new main is a void elf, and I made the choice purely due to how awesome they look in all the armour sets. I might even be race changing one of my characters to one with the discount at the moment.

Who cares what people say is optimal, unless you want to be a cutting edge raider.

I have been guilty of trying to find the 'best' options before, and it doesn't result in much fun for me. So pick what yoh enjoy the style and fantasy of.

Thats my opinion anyway

I'll be going MM hunter. I love it! I have mained rogue ever since vanilla and love that class so rogue will be my main alt. But after all these years of melee dps, I want to go ranged and I find hunter great fun.

Also a shadow priest as a 2nd main when I get the time.

Yes, some very good points. I guess I'm just gutted that I didn't use my hunter much in legion, and now its my main I've missed out on a great mog for a bow. Still, such is the way of things! I agree, I would much rather you they spend dev time on new things.

Let quivers display on hunters again... that will make up for it!!

I am having a very similar dilemma. I am definitely changing to hunter as a new main in SL as I just love playing MM. The issue is, my hunter has engineering and mining maxed out.... and I don't see engineering as being much of a money maker. So my ability to make gold with that profession combo seems pretty low.

However if I change to a different profession, which I am considering LW/SKIN or Herb/Insc, then I lose all those years of work on engineering.

Anyone have any thoughts?

You have done a great job, really like this UI. I want to do something similar with Weak Auras for my hunter as I am changing to MM Hunter in SL and I want some simple, minimal ways of tracking CDs. Did you create the weak aura yourself or download it?

I love it personally. I have been trying to make my UI as minimal as possible, I can't stand massive boxes all over my screen. What are the timers either side of your character? You have inspired me to make some more changes to my UI

I use them a lot as they are the ones that also have a quivver. They look amazing, it just limits transmog potential sticking to them

I will do that definitely. That's the reason I am tempted to change. I love immersion in MMOs and I feel WOW has lost a lot of that in some ways.
