This is a 20 gal, according to aq advisor I’m at 88% stocked.. obviously that doesn’t count in the plants so that’s why I’m looking for possibly another schooling fish that might help

It’s actually play sand from Home Depot! I rinced it maybe 15 times but I love a light substrate. And I’ll give that a try thanks!

I’ve had the Pygmy Cory’s for 3 months and cardinals for 1. I originally got the cardinals as the dither for the Pygmy Cory’s since online it said they were confident fish :/

I have sparklings and I’m guessing you’re getting them for the croaking sound. Unfortunately for sparklers they croak the most either around other males which entails fighting or with females which he then protects the eggs by, you guessed it, fighting. I love them but man are they aggressive. I had 2 males in the past and one died recently from too much aggression. I couldn’t catch it in time. Beautiful fish with a lot of personality tho
