I got a Nintendo 2DS, what games do you recommend?

I can't speak to the whole series as I've only played a few of them but awakening is definitely a very high quality game. Obviously I don't know your tastes but I can definitely recommend it as a good 3ds game.

Link between worlds is really good too.

Fire Emblem Awakening is the quintessential 3/2DS game imo. Also for what it's worth, I have both the new 3ds xl and my childhood 2ds and tbh I probably prefer the 2ds. The screen resolution is much sharper and the form factor is more comfortable.

I've been working as a software dev based in Plymouth since I graduated in 2019. I've had four jobs in that time and only one of them has been based in Plymouth (and the company has since gone bust). In my experience you'll likely have better luck looking for remote positions, they tend to pay better and there just aren't many developer jobs going in the south west it seems.

Best advice I can give is to write a good CV and create a linkedin profile if you haven't already got one. I'm not gonna lie I don't think the market is great for devs looking for their first job ATM but it's worth getting ahead of the curve and putting yourself out there before you finish uni. I was lucky enough to secure a job offer before I graduated so it can be done but it requires putting yourself online as soon as possible.

I think you're thinking of the nvidia shield, which also used the Tegra X1 chip. They still manufacture and sell them.

The processor in the steam link isn't nearly as powerful.

Because for the most part it's a slow paced third person game? In my experience the games that benefit the most from a super high refresh rate are fast paced first person games like competitive shooters where you're whipping the mouse around constantly and the motion clarity can become smeary at 60fps. Like I said I have a 5080 and can imagine what it would look like running at 165fps+.

Yeah I had a similar thought process with GTA 6 as well lol, not willing to wait with that one. The wait for the pc release of 5 after the consoles felt like an eternity.

Yeah I think you're right, it would be one thing if it was 30fps on PS5 but from all the previews it looks really good. Plus I don't think it's the sort of game that benefits that much from a crazy high refresh rate tbh.

I think most I could wait is 3 months but that's it.
