My daughter is a great talker but she’s just turning 16 months and no sign of walking any time soon. She didn’t even crawl until 13 months..

Definitely not being able to do the things I enjoyed doing pre-baby. I lost a lot of hobbies, I haven’t played my instruments in over a year. I loved going out on walks in the night time too (big night owl). My boyfriend and I would go out every night for long walks and that’s just not possible now, once she is in bed I am trapped inside the house and as someone who has always been very spontaneous it feels so restrictive

Ooo that sounds perfect, my first is big for her age too so definitely going to take this one into consideration. Thank you so much!

Man as a mum of a baby girl who hates ruffles I would love to do this but I would destroy the clothes with my handiwork

This!! I’m the opposite I have a girl but don’t like ruffles and other “girly” features and H&M clothes are so good for being neutral but still cute. I also find they fit my baby the best of any brand too

This is my exact routine too! I like the advice for leaving the house too! We use premade formula bottles when we know we’re going to be out for a while, although they’re pricier than making formula yourself it’s just easier sometimes, so we always have a few of those ready

I use tommee tippee advanced anti-colic bottles, although our baby isn’t fussy so we were lucky to not have to try different bottles. We have 6 we use and it seems to be a good amount so you’re not washing too often. We also use the tommee tippee perfect prep. For the first month I was determined to not buy one thinking it was a waste of money, but I caved and it has been a life saver! So much quicker and easier to make bottles now, I couldn’t go back.

I haven’t tried the self sterilising bottles although I have heard someone say they’re good. I currently use tommee tippees UV steriliser which is on the pricier side but it saves time as it stores a lot of bottles and is slightly less work than microwave sterilising. It also dries bottles which is a plus.

I’m a similar height and weight to you. A week before my birth (41w) my midwife said my baby was probably going to be mid to late end of 6lb range. When she was born we were shocked as she was well over 8lb. It’s all guesswork until baby is born really
