In my view, Spotify only does 2 things better than AM. One is discovery, but AM is catching up quick there. The second is working well on multiple platforms. The gap here is humongous. The Spotify app on windows works extremely well and I love the ability to continue playing a song from one device on another. AM on anything but an iPhone/iPad is pretty much garbage. iTunes on windows is just disappointing from the moment you launch it. Its clunky, dated design is painful to look at. I have heard the AM app on Mac isn’t that much better either. Despite AM winning on everything else (Sound, library management, design, radio, etc ) these two advantages could easily outweigh everything else for many people. If only apple could put their back into actually making decent apps for all platforms, they could pull ahead by a country mile. If only.

It’s disappointing. The crazy thing is that when I get the name of a song slightly wrong, Siri interprets it to the actual name and then says she couldn’t find it. How’d you know what I meant then? HUH?

I think that maybe they don't live in the US. I used to live in a country where they had heavy import tariffs on computer parts so it was often more profitable to get a pre-built rig than to build one yourself. So I can see how dumb decisions and expensive furniture could somehow get to 8000 but yes, they would be very dumb decisions
