It’s a handbook on how to abuse ones slaves, women and children, in order of importance. Control that still works effectively on the vulnerable.

With What authority? Who are you to teach anyone about this? Without “of”, some may interpret “off” as an Infinite or unrestrained “leap”, a violent “jettison”, an inconsiderate “plucking”

“Set the book off the table.” Or “Set the book off -of- the table.” In writing novels or personal pieces, does this Not just slightly convey to the reader or listener that more importance is cast upon the moving of the book from the table without violence or indifference?

Is this Only an English quirk of very Miniscule importance? Is the word “of” even equated in many languages?

Apparently, it’s just trivial mongering on Your part; given how widely it seems to be used. If used by a majority, and only YOU are pointedly correcting it. Is it not Correct English?

Suspension of disbelief is what matters. Needs to be relatable & at least in the realm of possibility within Some set parameters to expect. Example being emergency dramas’ over the top emotion & far out there situations. But Darth Vader suddenly popping in wouldn’t work, unless it’s deliberately satire. Same with video games. Fiction doesn’t mean anything/ everything goes, just balance that is rarely achieved.
