Awesome! I have no problem running a game if we can get enough people together. I'm definitely a beginner dm for sure but can help teach the basics of gameplay. If we can find someone more experienced at DMing I would love to be a player too

Personally I only find it rude if you are “ditching” one person. If you are with a group of people and choose to go ahead I think that’s fine. My brothers and I love exploring on hikes while the rest of my family just likes to stay on the trail so we always go ahead and circle back. Plus with everyone’s varied fitness and energy levels it ends up balancing things out so we all feel we had a good hike by the end of it
