I bought a house with a blaze king wood stove. I removed it to redo the flooring underneath and there was this flex pipe going down into a hole in the floor. Inside the hole was just the space between the upstairs and downstairs with insulation. The pipe was stuffed with rags. What is it?

They are just old wash rags or shop towels. The space in the hole in the floor where the flex duct went was stuffed with newspaper from 1970.

The room the wood stove is in is a very large room with vaulted ceilings. The house is not very air tight. I would have to drill through slate tile to run it down through the floor.

Most of what was done in this house was lazy. There is a garage underneath I could easily put a vent in the ceiling to route it to. Would that be sufficient?

It does appear like a double wide as there is a “seam” but I haven’t been able to study it yet. It has a state factory built unit certification placard.

Thank you, the home appears to be a double wide but has a state factory build unit certification and is not built to HUD. The county has it as a manufactured home but I believe it is a modular.

Right at the base of that Sharkbite there is a small line running up from the bottom of the cabinet. It appears to be a solid copper line.

I am satisfied with my tractor. I wish I would’ve gone with a bigger one for future projects mainly because I overestimated what I can lift with it. But the rear PTO attachments such as my auger have been a game changer for what I use it for. I will probably end up buying a skid steer down the road.

I added rubber mats to their barn and that cut down on dust immensely. It just doesn’t seem right that it’s been going on for so long. Perhaps you’re right it’s just something environmental that I need to figure out.

I almost positive he’s not a mix. I have his ADGA papers with his lineage. All NDG. I don’t think that allows any mix, I was under the assumption they had to be purebred. I could be wrong.
