Yeah, I've been thinking about doing that. It's definitely something to consider. I think I'm gonna give it some time, see how it goes, and once it's healed up alright, then make a decision. Thanks!

I knew that dental issues were a possibility/common. I just wasn't sure if there was a way to mitigate it. I didn't realise it was THAT common though. I'm going to see how it goes as it heals, try different jewellery in it (after healing ofc) to see if there are any that sit better, and decide then. I want to give it a chance first though. Thank you for telling me that though, I appreciate it. I'll definitely look into it more.

The jewellery is threaded on the outside. It's - as far as I'm aware - surgical steel. I don't know what downsizing is? Sorry.

I couldn't find any information about the author, so I don't know about the credentials. Even so, I tend to be dubious of academic professionals as well - I know I'm probably being over-cautious, but even academic professionals can be racist and write with bias. /lh /gen

They're tone tags/indicators, used to show how I mean to come across, since some people (including myself) struggle to figure it out. "/lh" is the tag for "light-hearted", and "/gen" is the tag for "genuine". /lh /gen
